I’m a MJ fan but certain tracks weren’t released for a reason. I get it. They’re unfinished and unpolished but these don’t sound good in my honest opinion and I hate that some fans just love everything out in front of them because HE made it. This ain’t it.

this is not malachi. this has nothing to do with malachi and was recorded before the cascio tracks were ever known. this is a real snippet. michael even sang part of this in the this is it rehearsals (not as a rehearsed song, just while doing nothing else.) editL malachi DOES have a song called water, it has nothing to do with this one other than having the same title. same goes for monster, michael did also have a real song called monster that hasn't been released, but it has nothing to do with malachi's song.

@@martxin this is michael’s very very grown adult voice. this was recorded in 2008, it was a leak from a michael prince seminar who is known to have worked with michael extensively all the way back since HIStory. i can absolutely guarantee you this is just michael with autotune, which some think is a blasphemous claim but it is a tool he had been known to play with since invincible. it’s all over invincible, one more chance, etc. just listen if you’re doubtful.

One thing we forget to understand is that Michael was human. Albeit a godlike talent, there are imperfect recordings that never make it for obvious reasons. So, hearing a subpar but still incredible track can forgivingly be attributed to AI.

I knew for years those had to be based on real writings or demos. And you can obviously tell cause the chorus of both versions sounds nearly identical. I actually really enjoy some of those fake songs but at least we know now some of those songs weren't fully fabricated. There's still 10 songs I'm wondering if they had demos too.

That’s what I always felt. I think they ARE so incomplete, he felt some need to just remake completely even down to lyrics and he just didn’t use AI or more famously before now; voice synthesis/manipulation using prerecorded stuff.

I mean, MJ literally lived with the Cascio family in the mid-2000s. I wouldn't be surprised if they had dozens, even hundreds of songs by him, both finished and unfinished. I still haven't seen a compelling argument that the tracks on Michael and the few that have leaked besides AREN'T MJ. Usually people bring Jason Malachi into it and...that's like accusing Madonna of using Lady Gaga's vocals lol.

"Monster" is an outtake from Invincible, chorus was only recorded. "Water" was made around 2008 with Neff-U, chorus only recorded, it was a possible track to be finished for the next album that was supposed to come after Invincible.

Around 2013, Damien Shields (who shared these snippets) visited the Library of Congress to investigate the legitimacy of the "Cascio Tracks", he heard several of these songs and has talked to many individuals who produced with Michael around the time, he is a very credible source. Water originally leaked in a seminar hosted by Michael Prince as well, what we have now is just a HQ snippet version of that LQ leak. If you're interested, I'd suggest checking out his new podcast "Faking Michael".
