I and my 8 years old son just started playing Pokemon Card Game. I bought the Battle Academy Box game 2 years ago when he was 6 years old but only this year he could start to understand the mechanics so we're learning together. We don't have other decks yet but I ordered 3 more Level 1 decks from amazon that we found with a good price. Today when we were at a store, my son saw this Lucario Premium Collection. He wanted to get it because he said he likes Lucario. We're not yet that experienced in the game but is is still worth buying today? Can we use the cards in any future competitive games later? I might still buy it just for the cards he liked and the Pin coming out from the box I still would like to hear your opinion. Thank you.

For games at home/casual play - any products will suffice. They will likely get more enjoyment out of it if Lucario is one of their favourite Pokemon. For standard format we are currently only using cards from sets Brilliant Stars-on.

I've got quite a bit of non holos from the og 150. What are your thoughts on getting those graded? Saw a metapod psa 10 going for 4-600.

I like the shop backpack so much more than the competitor one. The dark blue works well with the yellow. The turquoise is not for me at all :D The staff playmat is quite good but in general I don't love the merch this year too much. It was always gonna be very hard to stack up to last years though to be fair.
