Another beautiful piece of music! I had the privilege of hearing "A House on the Hill" and "Heirloom" at the Louisville Orchestra Coffee Concert on May 10. I'm a quiet person and seldom yell "Bravo!" at a performance, but I was compelled. I sat raptly with a big smile on my face the whole time. Thank you for sharing your talent with us! Best wishes.

I will have the privilege of singing this piece with The Philadelphia Chorus in April! Not sure how I'm going to get through it, though...I weep from the beauty of this piece every time I hear it!

Voices and piano too heavy for delicate tune..Gives almost amateurish effect to otherwise heavenly Conspirare interpretation and performance. Wondering if my first wife, Melissa Eddy still with group ❤ 5:33

I've listened to this many times - and was so moved I cried each time. There is something about Craig's voice that so profoundly impacts me on a very deep level. But now with what's been going on in Israel and Gaza the last 2 months, it's almost painful for me to listen to this. I hope and pray that the Dove of Peace can be found soon. Love you, your music and your voice so much Craig's. ❤️

Margaret Allison Bonds was a hidden figure in American classical music. She died long before this piece gained popularity and heard only a single orchestrated version before she died. The work was not even published until after she died. Credo is a wonderful cantata that continues to inspire with its message of universal humanity even as it stands as a symbol of injustice. Please also check out the orchestrated version also on YT.

Lately, I've become more suspect of this song as being an anthem for one's own will as opposed to the will of God. "Dreamers wake the nations" strikes a chord with Shaw's "I dream of things that never were, and ask why," spoken by the serpent in the Garden of Eden. As our governments take more power, as they dream of things that never were, disregarding the God-given rights of man, this music has soured. Not to detract from the excellent performance.

So fun to listen to the 2 versions of Bach side-by-side and to learn of its early personal meaning to Craig😊
