Samurai is overrated IMO, especially for noobs. The only thing it has going for it is the uchikatana. Best weapon to start. The Bow is nice, but there is a bow available right from the start. "2 kinds of arrows" mean nothing be they are a limites resource until you can find venders to buy arrows or recipes to make them. Armor is okay and the shield is trash. Vagabond is better. Starting off with the best armor early game, the staightsword's weapon art can stance break as well as the katana, one of the only 2 shields that block 100% phy dmg at the start, a Halbert that has more reach, and a great stat spread with 15 in vigor to start. Better defenses with higher health that gives you more room or error, the sword is near as good as uchikatana (without the bleed effect) Also, all of the stats are't very away from several requirements. Want to dabble is Sorcerery? You'll only have to level INT once, grab a staff the mage behind wayword ruins and buy glintstone pebble from the vender inside the ruins. And if you really want an uchikatana, there is one available in the beginning area. Bow? On the beach. It is just the most well-rounded.

It's nice with a new character but when each point costs 2.5 million runes (around lvl 450) it's a waste of time

It's not that the +7 is rare, it's that +8 and +9 are found in Caelid because it was part of Farum Azula the home of ancient dragons.

That magma wyrm in the consecrated snowfield right outside of that cave with the octopus in front of the entrance can be kited with a ranged weapon to the area with the two octopus and they will oblitrrate the wyrm in a matter of seconds. I did this on accident and was amazed at how fast they smoked that boss dragon for me and I didnt even mean for it to happen but was glad it did

It gives a lot but isn't very fast. I prefer the grind in the area Mogh is. It's 2k and enemy, in that area halfway up the side-path where there's a bunch speeding, for over 40k a pass and you aren't dying of boredom. Once you have an aoe weapon, you can also clear the area in 5 seconds

Small tip for strength build enjoyers : troll roar ash works very well to break her stance and make her fall to the ground. After landing a critical hit you can combo with another troll roar to send her flaying again and finsh with a jump attack while she is getting up. On secomd phase with the tear that increases stance dammage i can combo her like that 3 times stunlocking her and depleting her entire life bar before she can even move. I have tested this only with power stancing colossal weapons indont know if yhis work with other configurations

Do you know if there's a reason for why Midra has so much health? Why give him tons of HP and low resistances rather than just giving him stronger resistances and a bit less health? Seems like an odd choice to give Midra so much HP when you'd expect a boss like PCR or Bayle to have the most.

There is a better weapon to use the flail easier and earlier to get, spam holding the ash of war. Blood build counts per hit even if there is no FP.

Wher you first meet melenia thers one of this big wagons the giants pull around it's on the right side if the map to the low right thers a spiky bally thingy that you can hold L2 to rotate it it's by far the easiest and fastest way to slay the dragon you can also stun lock some of the enemys pretty hard with this

I needed a somber 7 to get my God slayer to 9 and O boy it took a journey. Started from the lakes to get access cleared almost half of volcano manor trying to find this one piece of stone.

That feels like waaaay over-complicating. Just keep dodging back and the enemy attacks, especially the last 3, become react-able.
