he brings a certain minimalist sound, muted tones, the way bald beat instrumentalists use no melodies... instead he uses deep rich grooves and undermines the drums while bringing a headnodda to rap. not my favorite but its been said that the greatest producers love him dearly🎉

Nice mix of his gems. Something about his music, it's mood and mind altering, clears stuff up, breaks up negative thoughts, helps heal, brings hope, you feel joy, can let go, and get freed up. He has a profound, epic gift! He used it so beautifully. The one and the only J Dilla It's Heavenly. A gift that keeps on giving. It's very much alive.
