Excellent format content and presentation. Well done.

Trying to understand how many steps there are in an MCQ is a very amateurish way to approach. How do pros get away with this? After reviewing numerous of these videos I am astounded at how poor they are in helping a person understand medicine, let alone the MCQs. "Definitely a tough question here..." No, not really. But this is great marketing.

Thanks for your feedback. Part of the reason we do this in Question Lab is to get the student to think about the pathway to the answer. For seasoned exam-takers with hundreds of questions under their belts, this isn't as crucial, because you learn the patterns and approaches. But we want the students, especially students who are just getting started, to have a framework going into it.

Big thanks to the USMLE-Rx team for their incredible KZbin playlist! For the past two months, I’ve been watching two videos almost every morning to prepare for Step 1, and I just passed the 100-video mark. The detailed breakdowns have really boosted my confidence in tackling questions. To anyone else studying-stay consistent, and keep pushing forward. You've got this!

How come the answer choice D is incorrect. Both are being seen by the researchers . They found that ,smokers are 4times likely suffers from dementia than nonsmokers and twice in relation to smoking and alcohol.
@USMLERX111 ай бұрын
Without controlling for the difference in alcohol consumption between smokers and nonsmokers, it is difficult to know whether smoking or alcohol is more responsible for the observed difference in vascular dementia incidence. What can be definitively stated is that, among the study population, smokers are more likely to drink more often than nonsmokers. Alcohol may be the cause for the increase in vascular dementia, but unless the smoking disparity is controlled for by study design or multivariate analysis, this statement cannot be conclusively made. The same applies for smoking.
