His uncles ABSOLUTELY DID DESERVE THIS REVENGE!!!How the hell can you see the way they all turned their backs on Julia AND J, especially when they were older? So what was the reason for these ‘we’re family, we do anything for family’ unless of course, you’re they’re sister and nephew. Do HOW DID THEY NOT DESERVE THIS PAYBACK FOR THEIR EPICALLY CRUEL AND BRUTAL BETRAYAL ? What in the ever loving hell was their excuse for not being brothers and uncles who reached out to help when they grew up? They WERE ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY WRONG!!!! BEYOND WRONG!!! Every SINGLE time they made that ‘we’re family’ bs statement, it was a damn sucker punch to J when JULIA WAS FAMILY TOO!!!!!! WHY THE HELL WAS SHE EXCLUDED??? WHY WAS J EXCLUDED?!? So every last family member that turned their back on Julia and J had it coming. They absolutely deserved it. Every last bit of that betrayal was earned.

It's called emotional incest if you look up the way smurf acted with her sons. The kissing on the mouth and they weren't just little pecks and walking in on them in the shower on purpose just to see them naked. My mom hasn't seen my junk since I got out of diapers

What about Karma? None of the Cody's were innocent. Nowhere near. However, i get where J is coming from. As much of a prodigy as J is and as precocious as he is. He's young. I grew up in a kind of similar situation. J probably thinks his Uncle's should have taken it upon themselves to do something for his mother. J thinks he would be that way if he were them. J also can pretty easily give himself a pass for participating in Cody business. Things aren't so simple and i wasn't surprised by how J ultimately was at the end of the show.

Or shall I say HOW educated do you have to be to be a “narrator” when you don’t even know the names of the characters you’re speaking about??

The Holly character looked unbelievably different, they should have said something like she had plastic surgery. I also thought as the story started to unfold it became pretty predictable for the most part!

Rewatch the show. They lived like wealthy kings, and didn’t ONCE reach out to Julia, or their nephew J, they ABSOLUTELY DESERVED EVERY BIT OF THAT BETRAYAL. THEY EARNED IT. Not once did they reach out a helping hand when they lived a few minutes away. Not once when they were older did they game ten minutes to check on J or offer help. NOT ONCE. How many times do they say ‘we’re family’ EXCEPT WHEN JULIA OR J NEEDED HELP. You must not have been paying attention, because they were unbelievably cruel and brutal in their betrayal of Julia, and when J came to live with them I guess you forgot Craig diddling J’s girlfriend Nikki, or pope and Deran attempting to drown him. How about throw money at J the first time they meet him because the shoes he’s wearing ‘offends them’. I mean what in the hell show were you watching!?! For real?

@vanessamccool7972 but what would've happened to them if they reached out to her? Smurf would've kicked them out and would've wanted nothing to do with them. They didnt have a say because smurf was manipulative. Pope was also in prison and couldn't help julia, and when they were younger, he couldn't help because, like I said, smurf threatened to kick him out too. He also could've easily killed j in the end, no problem, but he let him free. Like I said, Smurf deserved what she got. The brothers didn't have a say unless they wanted to live in hell like Julia.

@@Garyvangoose even though the brothers constantly spouted ‘we’re family’ during situations where they had disagreements or when they were about to take huge risks to help each other, EXCEPT WHEN IT WAS J AND JULIA?!? They ALL, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM, GOT WHAT THEY DESERVED! The toasts ‘May we get what we want and never what we deserve’ are also a through line, AND EVERY TIME they said both of these things in front of J, look at him. Every time I’d think, what did my mom deserve? Why wasn’t she family? You really need to rewatch this series, you ENTIRELY missed the point of your thinking the uncles didn’t deserve it. Here’s a question for you, what did Julia and J do that caused their brothers/uncles to live wealthy KNOWING that Julia was less than a few minutes away, with her son, living in poverty, that made them turn their backs on both of them, NEVER reaching out, NEVER checking on, at the very minimum, J? What did J and Julia do to deserve it? PLEASE tell me, and maybe then you’ll realize that the whole of the Cody family got exactly what they deserved

And to add to this, Baz was actively betraying and stealing from Smurf, yet they were all cool with him, and they all went back so Smurf like the spineless sheep they are after she had him killed. So why didn’t the brothers stick around for Julia and J? Stand up for them? I guess they just didn’t count as family, so they were spineless, selfish POS’s through and through, but Julia was a young girl, pregnant and the MOST VULNERABLE, Smurf heartlessly handed her money while dropping her off in skid row and said this is the last thing you and your bastard will ever get from me, then rubbed Julia’s face in it when Smurf invites pope to sit up front with her, AS JULIE IS BEGGING POPE TO COME WITH HER AND LEAVE SMURF BEHIND-but right, they’re only boys, then they were only men, Julia was a female-so she had it coming and they didn’t I guess

It's pretty obvious after j killed smurf he assumed smurfs position and mindset he didn't screw over the cody brothers alone for revenge he also did it out of greed something he learned from smurf.They need to have a film to conclude it it's time for deran to get his revenge. The last scene of j surrounded by women and wealth he still looks solemn because he realized he became smurf the object of his hatred.

I just plain miss it! It was an edge of your seat, drama, and excitement, and yes violent but they couldn’t have had a better crew of actors, especially bringing in Peaky Blinders stars from across the sea and using a beach town as the backdrop. I have no idea or suggestions as to how they can bring the show back with Jay and his surviving brother, but I wish they would; For a while there they had a lot of good shows on TV all on Showtime or HBO, they certainly have a lot of writers, looking for work in Hollywood. Last I heard the story about the motorcyclists was canned, due to the death of one of their prime stars.
