I think I disagree with Toguro being totally on board with Sakyo’s plan, if I’m being honest! The reason why, and this COULD just be a mistranslation, but at least in the dub, Toguro seems completely indifferent to the concept of the demon world portal. He’s not AGAINST it, but neutral. The only real thing he had to say about it is that it “sounded complicated” or something along those lines. Also the portal’s existence, at least at the time, was only possible if Toguro won, which Toguro wasn’t necessarily counting on. But I’d love to hear your thoughts about this! But everything else in this video I agree with. Great job! Subscribed and can’t wait for me.

Kurama is never a hero. He is mostly neutral evil. He love shiori ,respect yusuke learn the importance of bonds...but is evil and a monster. A few year and could be a villain again

In order for don freecs to get that much of knowledge about dark continents and write those 2 books west and east, he must be live a long time to explore them all and he must be so much stronger than netero. But sometimes dark thoughts pass by and makes me trully suspect that don freecs got infected by one of calamity that make the host immortal so he have so much time to explore and write the books just for a hobby but then he got caught by V5 or netero then arrested to be experimented somewhere in secret lab of V5.

I think your rewrite was very well done. It's clear you cared about the characters and their respective stories, and I think your version has some pretty intelligent parts that made sense with the characters goals and other parts of the story, leading up to the arc. Nicely done sir.

I 1000000% agree. Which is why I disagree that Hiei hated Kwabara. I like to point to when he was helping Kwabara sword-train; the dialogue made me think he wasn't trying to be a dick but rather pushing Kwabara in the form of tough love. He at least thinks highly enough of him to allow him to date his sister, who he would do anything for. So yea, I think it's because either A it makes Yukina happy being with Kwabara, or he doesn't kill Kwabara because it would destroy Yukina.. honestly thinking about it, that's equally as likely...

I literally just finished Yu Yu Hakusho today and idk man I find it so hard to relate to Yusuke. Maybe it’s because I’m just too different from him to see it but I just can’t. I can never just leave. To abandon everything from responsibility, to friends etc I could never. To fight just because…I don’t understand it. So I left feeling more torn up then anything. What does Yusuke have now since he pretty much left everything else? And it’s that feeling of remorse that I feel whenever I do something stupid that I feel with Yusuke. You wish for the best for him but he chooses the complete opposite it seems, atleast in my pov. No character has made me feel this way.

False, hes the worst shonen villain because he was never truly a villain. Villains hate and carry vitriol and absolutely hate of not just the protagonist but also what the protagonist represents. Toguro is not a true villain, more like a stepping stone anti hero. He plays by his own rules, not anyone else's. He's not fighting everyone to destroy humanity, he's not seeking pure greed or lust, he's just a man wanting to push himself to his absolute limit and lose legitimately. Probably the most tame villain I've ever seen. Sensui was a true villain, the saint beasts were true villains, rando was a true villain. Toguro? Just a guy with his own mission.

I watched YuYu as a kid decades ago, and to this day It holds a very special place in my heart, to the point that I have had many ideas for my own re-writes for years. Only thing I really have to do is get better at my artwork...I can draw anything but people, so it'll be a while for me. Anyway, I really love seeing discussions like this, because there really was so much wasted potential. I wish they'd have let Togashi take the break he needed instead of forcing him. Drawing is a passion we really need a lot of space to put love into, as soon as it becomes a forced sort of labor, it turns into torture and its apparent in the artwork and execution. It's really sad such a masterpiece like Yu Yu Hakusho had the life strangled out of it. I wish he could go back and reprieve it.

Gold Roger lost the one piece when he died not just because he was terminally ill but also because without him his crew would never be whole again meaning they’d never have the one piece technically ever again. You can only be considered a full crew if all crew mates have been either deemed worthy by the gods of the one piece world or if you have been deemed worthy by someone who has been deemed worthy(ie luffy but also, nami, zoro, and sanji, all initially refused by flat out saying no whereas usopp was on the fence a little if I recall and robin wanted to be left to die but technically never flat out told luffy no) which could be foreshadowing something idk oda is strange

Shiryu is narratively far too weak for Zoro. Zoro will be admiral + level by the time this clash happens. Zoro should fight Kuzan. Shiryu should fight Brook and Brook should show off awakening powers.
