Very useful review. Thanks. My wife's family is Chinese and we visit often from Australia. I was told (by the spouse lol) that I need to understand the Chinese language to be able to drive in China (presumably to get a Chinese driver licence). Previously it has not bothered me to not be independent in transport but now I'm thinking differently. How did you manage your legal requirements for driving in China? I've been visiting since 2001.

Xpeng is an easy choice and picking up a LOT of interest in Australia right now. The interior and exterior of the G6 is much better than the Tesla Y. Has screens for the interior and for the driver, model Y only has one screen in the middle which is very inconvenient, especially in Australia when there's speed cameras everywhere.Check out the electric viking, he rates the G6 higher than the Tesla.

@ LOL, you are falling for the Tesla „Autopilot is safer“ lie hook line and sinker. Please do some BASIC research, those Tesla numbers are a total lie because they compare the safety of Autopilot-on-Highway driving per mile to all non-autopilot-driving which includes city driving where A LOT more risk is present per mile. The only thing this shows is that highway driving is safer than non-highway driving per mile. Many ADAS systems are more reliable than Autopilot, probably not the Xpeng ADAS though.
