What's the difference between Rhythmizer Fusion and Rhythmizer Ultra? Are they just different versions or they are independent plugins?
@FuturephonicEducation8 күн бұрын
Thanks for your question. Ultra would take a single MIDI note and generate randomised output, with built-in/custom scales and Poly Stacking. Fusion adds on the new Poly mode, a randomising arpeggiator that accepts chordal input, as well as the MIDI glitch and Latch functions.

@@CostasCh the way that Rhythmizer can interact beyond just note output (inc. velocity/length) is CC data modulation. The only advantage Live Suite users have is the Max for Live framework, which enabled us to provide a micro M4L device which converts that CC data into control over Live's settings. I don't know of any comparable ability in Reaper, does anything come to mind?
@CostasCh8 күн бұрын
@FuturephonicEducation I'm not sure. Reaper have several Midi control devices including something associated with CC data modulation but i haven't use them all to see how they work. I must see in YT if there are any tutorial about it.

noice. can i have rhythmizer do its thing while im playing chords? like, slap a preset into sylenth, slap rhtythmizer onto sylenths effect channel, play chords on my midi controller and record everything? or, do i have to first record chords into step sequencer, slap rhythmizer as an effect on the plugins channel and go from there, tinker with rhythmizer? thanks.
@FuturephonicEducation9 күн бұрын
Hey! If I understand your question, basically yes. You can use Rhythmizer as a live arpeggiator, and the Latch control ( 7:52 in the video) makes this even more jam friendly. Of course, you can also draw notes in to the MIDI roll. Rhythmizer will accept MIDI input from anywhere. One planned video is actually using Rhythmizer as a send. Say you have a chord sequence hook on a piano. You open Rhythmizer separately and feed the MIDI from your piano line into it, but send that MIDI to an ambient synth sound. As you change chords on your unaffected piano line, it will drive a randomised ambient 'second version', for adding sparkle and texture. Note that how Rhythmizer gets loaded depends on your DAW, but in any case it will come before Sylenth or any synth.

Your plugin is very nice but the tutorials are beyond stupid. You keep playing the same music behind what you're doing and it becomes immediately undistinguishable what the fuck you're doing with the plugin and the music that sounds the same "before" (there's no before) and after, so I am unable to learn shit from your useless videos. Thanks anyway but please, watch some tutorials about how to learn synths and see if you learn it because right now the only good thing about this is the plugin.

@@FuturephonicEducation Lol, because its stealing..its wrong, not your ideas, its someone else's..One should think for themselves. Stealing wont make anyone go further. There are universities teaching people these things. Normally as i can remember, we paid for our education to get B.A degrees, So if you took the time and went to University, studied Electronic music production, Music theory, and Electronic sound design and you then know how music works, you can develop your own ideas, then you don't have to steal. If you steal, even someone else's work, ideas etc, it will mean you're a criminal, and not just any criminal, a habitual criminal cause you clearly see nothing wrong with what u doing.

@@techiq7389 I (the guy with the glasses) am going to gently push back here. The internet has wonderfully democratised education for all, so production knowledge has been shared with the majority of people who haven't the means to enroll in elite academies where they'll receive the warm embrace of close mentorship. While it would not be feasible to give away this entire class for free, we do like to share short clips to give people a taste. However, having spent years producing classes like these, I'd be happy to share my video knowledge with anyone who asked. What you have to remember is that all art is theft. Austin Kleon wrote a wonderful book about this, which I'd recommend. I can assure you that while Fernando (Waio) has worked tirelessly to innovate in the genre, he'll be the first to tell you that much of his knowledge is learned from others. It's what he's done with that knowledge that has earned him his place. At the end of the day, one can spend a lifetime absorbing free or paid knowledge on and offline, but their contributions will only be truly valued once they've put in the blood sweat and tears to employ these tips into their craft. Teach a man to fish, and he'll be able to feed himself for life - but he'll have to do the work of the actual fishing. Cheers! Alex

Amazing work on Rhythmizer! I am an early user (max for live 😊) It’s such an inspiring tool, but I wanted to share a small frustration I’ve had with the loop function. Basically, once you activate a loop from a sweet spot, everything freezes. You can’t tweak any parameters in real time, like adding some swing, adjusting note density, or refining the raw sequence while staying in the groove. The only way around it is to record a MIDI clip and manually edit it in the DAW. That kind of breaks the creative flow, especially when you’re improvising or just trying to fine-tune something on the spot. On top of that, when the loop mode is on, even the undo function stops working. So, if you make a mistake or want to explore other options, you’re stuck and have to start over from scratch. I think it’d be a huge improvement if we could tweak parameters on the fly while the loop is running. It would make the whole process much smoother and more intuitive, especially for live performance situations, that i love the most. Anyway, thanks again for creating such an awesome plugin, and I hope this feedback helps with future updates, even if i am sure that's difficult to program. Peace.

@TheDjAliceD23 күн бұрын
@FuturephonicEducation thx, but I mean is it possible to use both? you said in another video that Fusion is less random as ultra was and I like that, but also the new functions...
@FuturephonicEducation23 күн бұрын
@@TheDjAliceD ah, I understand now. Fusion is 'less' random in the sense that the new features allow more custom control. The new Step Sequencer options are a perfect example. However, they are only options, you don't have to use them. The only thing we really took out of Ultra was the Pitch Hang function, which was getting mixed reviews and which I personally found to be difficult to get usable results from. The new Glitch engine is another example of 'less random'. Most of the Glitch Intensity stages give stutters on regular downbeats, backbeats and offbeats, so 'typical' glitch beats. The highest range of Intensity is more unpredictable - 'more random', if you will 😀
