I find things for a reason. That has happened to me more than ever since my angel bride left in 2014. So much has happened the last decade. I just happened to think of Mary Hopkin and wanted to listen to the song that I remember when I was 8 years old. After hearing Those Were The Days from two different videos by Mary I looked her up and saw ther daughter mentioned. Thought I would take a look on KZbin and here I am. Gorgeous video with many songs. Now a fan.
What a wonderful, tender, rendition of this Édith Piaf song. Céline Dion sang it in French at the 2024 Olympics ouverture. It is called L'hymne à l'amour: kzbin.info/www/bejne/b6i0XnqPo7CDj68

Best version of this song I have ever heard. I will listen to more of her music now.
Very nice. Similar shuffle-ish guitar part to Slip Slidin' Away, too.

If she has chosen something a bit more like a proper song then this could have done well given the combination of her and Macca But I do like the cat meowing in the middle of it.

리메이크 중 참 잘 한 노래. 죽을 것 같이 부르던 에디뜨 피아프와 참 다르게 부드럽고 사랑스럽다. Édith Piaf : Hymne à l'amour(1950)

George's old mate Paul played 'Something' at the Manchester show last night. Paul started the song playing a ukulele that George had given him, and he talked about George's fondness for the instrument and membership of the George Formby fan club. We all knew that he still really misses his mate.

That black out on his face reveal is such a nice gesture of respect to George. He was afraid to show his face because the cancer had gotten so bad and he didn’t think he looked good looking enough to be on film

Rather unusual, for a pop group of that period (1970), to present themselves with violin and viola but the idea was liked by many (including me).
