Never would have known that was Oliver w/o the weight and little black mustache. Loved their comedy. Stan always had such a look of innocent befuddlement.

Stan Laurel was Little Rascal Matthew "Stymie" Beard's hero. When Beard met him, Laurel gave him one of his trademark bowler hats as a gift, which became Beard's trademark. The hat was Beard's most prized possession which he cherished greatly, and he was even buried with it upon his death.

Can somebody lip-read what Oliver says between 1:11 - 1:15? I'm so curious, as it seems to be hilarious to both Stan and the young fellow.

It's painful to see Oliver 150 pounds less and being barely recognized. He did reach the age of 65 though which is quite a miracle considering he was overweighted and smoked all his mature life.

Big Tobacco knew that smoking kills people but didn’t tell a soul back then. That’s why so many people died fifteen years before their time. Laurel and Hardy were both smokers and both died young in an awful way because of smoking. They were only in their mid sixties when this film was shot but they looked eighty and died a short time later.

I was introduced to Laurel and Hardy through my family, my grandma being born in the early 30s. I remember setting at the family tablet at 6 and watching these old Stan&Ollie sketches. My mother always told me to stop after 10 minutes, for the black and white vids were apparently bad for the eyes. Hehe, so funny to remember. But here I am, 10 years later, still cherishing Laurel and Hardy's talent and legacy deeply!
