This is tremendous. My first instinct when listening to this was "this feels too fast," and I never quite felt totally comfortable with the tempo. I've been using a one hour loop of this song with rain sounds as my background music for work for several years now. The up tempo threw me off due to my familiarity with the original, but the more I listened the deeper into it I was able to get. I really can't explain why this resonated so deeply, but I'm sure I'll be returning to this frequently

I always felt that the SMS sound capabilities were comparatively gutless compared to the NES sound. In this case, it certainly appears it because the NES triangle channel provides the bass and depth that makes the original tune all that much more memorable. Tsk, it's a shame. I prefer the square sound of the SMS over the rectangle from the NES, but the SMS had f-all for bass.
