This is a pretty good intro. It is basic enough for a person that is new to Unity and even has a few tips that can be used by advanced Unity users. It could use an update as it is five years old now though. It would be nice to at least see the M580 on the PLC selection screen.

Yes. You can configure a Global Action to send an email on a set schedule or there are several other triggers; events, alarms, etc

You are right on. You'll just use the slot number of the NOM Module in the ADDM instruction. %MW is 4x register. A couple of things. 4x registers start at 400001. %MW starts at %MW0. So you may be 1 register off. If you get the wrong data, offset the address by 1. I usually read several registers the first time to confirm. You are doing serial communications, so only one message at a time. The M340 will buffer, but I still think it best to send one message at a time. Have fun!

If I understand your question correctly, be sure to "rubberband" (select) all of the function blocks. Then right click, initialize animation table.. If you have time, please reply to this comment to let us know whether it answered your question.
