This looks like an old summer video. Would this be around late August early September ? Trying to figure out which month is best to prune the Lavender
@christianpetersen1782Ай бұрын
September can be a very warm month in southern UK so probably October in southern UK may be earlier if you are in the cooler parts of UK. I cut the flower stems off the lavenders I have in the ground when they have died and cut back the remainder early spring and they grow very well.

So is the terracotta planters best for rosemary as well as lavender. I want to grow sweet basil, sweet mint, purple basil, rosemary, and lavender.

My soil is mostly clay, is that jiffy substrate enough or i have to mix it with sand and if yes what sand is best. Thanks i am very beginner in this.

What type of lavender is that?

Every lavender plant l try to keep as beautiful as when l bring it home soon begins to get sections of graying/browning & drying looking, but it isn't overwatering or root rot. It's so disappointing. Your videos are lovely to watch. Thank you for all the great information!

They need full sun at least 11 hours a day of sun, and they also need a very light soil with ideally some mulch on the top.

@@lavenderworld8292 Thank you! I just planted lavandula in my clay bed yesterday. I think I'm going to dig them up and remix the soil with sand. I hope this gives me a higher survival rate. 🙏

What are the plants cubes you put in the bottom of the pot? for drainage or a fertilizer??
@Camibug3 жыл бұрын
They’re for drainage! She talks more about them in the Top drainage tips video. If you sort by most popular on her channel it will show up! She also mentioned it in the “Grow Lavender Indoors” video when going over drainage:)

Will the lavender bloom later if you prune it like that? because i have one in a pot and i am wondering on cutting back but i also want it to bloom throughout the spring and summer months.
@lavenderworld82923 жыл бұрын
Hello, thank you for your message. Yes, it will. Do not fear, pruning will encourage stronger root and flower growth.
