This was a fine award virtual event! I wasn't able to be present on the zoom but was able to see the recording. I too enjoyed listening to the interview again, and hearing the subsequent discussion. The excitement about the project is palpable. I'm so grateful to be a part of this collaboration on the UGRR in Oakland County project. I can't wait to "meet" the additional Freedom Seekers and Abolitionists in Oakland County that played such a vital role in our communities' history, as well as those researchers and historians that are joining and working with the team. Congratulations on the AMM 2024 Collaborators Award!

Been there, done that. I will go again being I live in MN and look fwd to it. The rock polished by the Bison was really cool. To think that for thousands of yrs, these huge animals rubbed their massive bodies on the rock polishing them a deep, shiny red. On the north end of the site, there are "wagon wheel ruts" you can feel in the earth. They weren't sure who made them but I heard they thought it may have been the mail route going back and forth from Sioux Falls. Really cool. Don't think we'll ever truly know who made them.

This is so great and so well done, I'm so happy to hear that MN made the right decision to place the level of importance to this site

Although I preside in Los Angeles, I'm looking forward to making a trip to Chicago (my birthplace) hopefully next year, and Glessner House will definitely be added to my itinerary after seeing this wonderful presentation. Now I'm going online to purchase one of those beautiful face masks!

Thank you for posting. This is very timely suggestions for exhibits during COVID. I am trying to determine the best solution for an online exhibit for my Public History MA thesis.
