I just try to motivate people to join the hobby and I did my best. Not everyone has enough money to get to the real thing straight away and there are also cases when people are not ready to risk all in from the beginning. This is a more risk managed starting solution and also I think it’s the best way to start. Everyone has its own opinion and this is mine.

Just get a small drone and fly it I did that and got a 5" 6s from market place and ripping it around now in acro I never used a simulator. Only been flying a couple months now .

4 in 1 radios do not support crossfire, tracer or expresslrs, they only support last-gen control links like frsky and flysky.

That’s true, I missed pointing this out, but I think most 4 in 1 radios allows you to install external modules. Probably this is where everyone ends if not buying a dedicated controller from the beginning. Thanks for pointing this out 🙏.

Thanks for putting up the work... great video ! Somehow it is disheartening to see how low limited the flight time of bigger drones is, even with custom made lion. I am flying a 4inch (tern lr40) and am able to go 20 minutes without gopro and 10-14 with gopro (naked 45gramms). Still searching for a setup which is able to fly high speeds (like yours) with gopro for at least 20 minutes, I would prefer 30, but somehow it seems the missing aerodynamics of drones make this task very hard to achieve. If you are having any ideas, suggestions, I would appreciate :-)

Hey, I’m wondering if this could be helpful: setting the correct packet rate for the radio, checking for interference around (like radio towers, radars, or cellular towers), using a “wind app” to check wind at certain altitudes, planning the whole mission on the map including distance and checkpoints, and flying a smaller pack before the big send for a GPS rescue test.

hello, sure these are very important factors, but assuming you already have an UAV operator license you already know navigation and weather considerations involved in a flight. Regarding the packet rate, and interferences, these are factors that each has to decide if it’s worth the risk or if the setup is ready for a failsafe. I always keep an eye in the signal strength and I’m flying with a margin of error to leave room for a failsafe event.

it definitely does not work in complete darkness, but I flew the O3 at some indoor parties where only party lights were on and I had no issues with that. I would go with the O3

mungkin anda lupa satu hal penting lainnya, yaitu sebelum terbang jauh kita harus mempelajari terlebih dahulu kontur geografi dari lokasi terbang kita. saya biasanya menggunakan google earth untuk melihat titik terbang saya terhadap titik akhir tujuan saya terbang untuk memastikan sinyal video tidak terhalang oleh kontur didepan kita, dan sebagai antisipasi apabila gps dan kompas error kita sudah punya suatu patokan atau petunjuk arah untuk kembali ke home point. saya suka terbang ke atas puncak gunung. This can’t lock position mid air like the Avata, but it’s able to auto land using GPS rescue.

If you put GPS on it, an FC w/ barometer and update firmware to iNav; it can practically do altitude/position hold and proper RTH as well.

This drone is suitable for flying anywhere if it's not windy. In those conditions I would recommend a more powerful drone like a 3.5 inch or even a 5 inch drone. This drone is already on the edge of stability with a GoPro Naked 10 without any wind, so I would consider this for outdoor flights.

Good presentation, thanks for the info. However, I would not recommend conformal coating with spray without protecting the ports first as well as the barometer. The conformal coating is an insulator and may block the small orifice of the barometer (causing permanent damage to it) as well as insulate the pins of the usb connector or other peripherals including ESC - that can be solved with IPA but would still be a pain...

To be honest I never had issues with iFlight electronics under normal circumstances. They really feel good quality products, but who knows... So all together, it gets my recommendation.

It's easy to submerge it under a gallon of conformal coating and pretend you have a waterproof drone while neglecting all the important details of keeping it maintainable and reliable.

I agree with you, but in this particular situation no soldering was involved and everything else was already tested. I usually measure the with a multimeter between ground and all voltage rails in diode mode. I will think about investing in a smoke stopper.

As an electrical engineer, I use a multimeter to check before plugging in without a smoke stopper and have never had a failure.

@@alexandershamaev1354to be honest I don’t really know. I hit something 😂 the gopro was ripped off the drone from the flex mount and landed on 6th floor of the building, the lipo was ejected and almost lit on fire and the drone falled from the 7th floor down on concrete 😅
