Its really unsafe not wearing the brace during excersies. Especially on the first 2-3 weeks. Your leg should be in a straight position. You almost fell which would have mean another surgery... So anybody watching this after an ACl repair, be patient and dont rush the recovery.

I have that same issue with Whistler jumps! Last year I started forcing myself to brake check way before the jump and then keeping my fingers off my brakes...it's scary AF but it worked...I have actually been landing on the transitions on some of the bigger jumps on CIU, I tried C More...but those were still to lippy and big...could not get my flow on it! Man, this made me want to go back again this year!

It's so true, some elements no matter how well you manage to work, require the body to rewire and heal. I'm overall stronger with better balance now than I was pre injury but I'm still not there at nine months, but im definitely close. Keep going people and do not forget to rehab daily

don't do anything cool on skis until your surgery side is actually for real 90%+ strength matched to the other side or you'll be compensating without realizing it.. trigger warning its not that chill to get your strength up to 90%+ in a timely manner lolz maybe someday I will make a completely unqualified ACL reco advice main takeaways for skiers video

Hey Delilah! Hope you’re doing well, just wanted to say how refreshing it is to hear another athlete deal with the struggle of going thru an ACL injury & recovery. It’s been some of the darkest points in my life but I continue to look at it with a positive mindset. I could relate to most of the stuff you were talking about too, so just thought you deserved to hear this🙏💯

My first surgery recovery was way slower and more painful - I have a video on that one too in ACL #1. The second one in a row was just way easier from muscle memory
