The Network mode doesn't work on MorphOS, because the OpenPlay networking library isn't available on it (I don't remember if anyone has tried to port it or would it be possible at all), but online races should work on other platforms...

PowerMac G5/2.3GHz and Radeon X1950 Pro, a bit overkill for the game, but at least I can keep everything at max :) Originally I ran it on Pegasos 1 G3/600MHz, and it was OK after I upgraded from Radeon 9200SE to Radeon 8500LE, although had to compromize with details still. It was pretty good with my friend's Pegasos II too.

The version on Aminet is with the original graphics, not VGPHD. There was a dedicated VGPHD page with new graphics downloads, but it's long gone. MorphOS Storage has some VGPHD textures, but not all and it's missing the more practical SD and LD versions. I have informed MorphOS Storage admin to include the missing files, but he hasn't done it yet. Edit the config/circuiti.config file if you want to add new versions without replacing the original ones.

AROS (x86) isn't quite MUI compatible and there might be some issues. I have tried to work-around the issues I've found, but TBH my testing on AROS has been very minimal and I haven't got any bug reports either. What kind of issues you've had on AROS?

@@JellyPowered First issue, AROS only installs in a hosted Linux, I can't get it to native install. Most things kindof work , but lots of stuff is sluggish / slushy / slow. And I'm using a Core I5-1235u system. boosts to 4ghz single core

@@RarefiedError Yeah, I got nothing but problems when trying to use Linux hosted AROS, so I'd blame that. I have now moved to run AROS in VMware, and it works much better. Even the heaviest calculations in RNOEffects work snappy on my 14 years old i5/M560/2.67GHz PC. In any case the video was recorded on MorphOS, where I also develop my programs, so it's the best tested operating system... but basically the programs should work pretty similarly on other systems too, and issues found on those are mainly because something else than my code. If something related to my program is found, it should then be looked if I can make a work-around or should the reports go directly to OS developers.

@@JellyPowered so far RNOeffects seem to be ok on AROS, just AROS needs more performance

I don't think FPGAs are up to emulating PPC yet.

This video was about the reverse engineered TNT (The New Tracks) mod, which provides a whole new track set and new colors for the game. Does that exist for C64? I thought it's an Amiga only hack... but anyway, the new tracks work well and double the fun.

Yeah, I've never had any kind of issues when upgrading. MorphOS has done it right :)

Yeah, serial link-up and the fun goes through the roof. It's incredible that the game features an (up to) 8 player mode in the link-up, which works really well even today!

Streaming isn't supported by this application (at least yet), but I've made the RNORadio application for MorphOS that supports streaming and Shoutcast. Unfortunately there are some technical limitations to get it ported on other platforms, but let's see if I'd find solutions in the future. And industrial FTW! :)

@@JellyPowered awesome that you at least have it on morphos as that's what i use till i get my pentium up and running too i have icoros for pentium 3 and it comes with mplayer, but morph is way more stable than icaros

Yeah MP3 playback (and tons of other similar formats) is done with a FFMpeg based plugin, which apparently seems to be too heavy for real 68k CPUs :/ I have my code prepared to work without the plugin too and I assumed that MP3s would work through mpega.library then, but now I noticed that Hollywood has dropped mpega.library support a while ago, which I didn't know. My bad I didn't test it properly on classics, but on the other hand, I can't do much for it currently.

@@JellyPowered Well it works awesome for everything I have tried except the MP3's, so that is life! Bummer that Hollywood dropped support for MPEGA. It actually works pretty well even on a 68040
