There was zero troubleshooting in this video. Cool story bro.

Great video. When I first removed the directional gearbox the gears were in the neutral position, and the drive coupler slid back and forth. My first impression was that something was broken in the gearbox, but then through experimentation I was able to understand how the gearbox actually works. Your video explains how the mechanism works perfectly.

This is hilarious. Folks, this is just borax - you know, the 20 Mule Team stuff you see at Walmart and always wondered what it was.

It's Ph balanced so you can just pour all you need into the pool and done, instead of dealing with many boxes of powder and ph down and then the next day more of the same and then your balanced pool is no longer balanced so you now have to use a bunch of ph down to get back where it was. I'm tired of that process and it takes days to accomplish the ultimate results. This stuff is a one time treatment per drain and refill give me a break.

@@tweetiebird I'm not saying it isn't effective. I'm saying that you don't have to buy some overpriced product just because it's marketed for pool maintenance. Just go to Walmart and get the borax you need from the laundry detergent aisle.

*My old Polaris 280 finally gave up after about 15 years. 🌼 **allabout.wiki/Vac-Sweep** I had replaced various parts over time but this season decided I should just replace the whole unit. This was very easy to do. There are plenty of videos you can find that show how to measure and cut the connecting hose and how to adjust the various setting. Two things: One a hose too long is a bad thing. It will just get tangled up. You can always cut it shorter, so start too long and work you way down. Two. If the water is pushed too fast through the system it will drive in tiny circles. Be sure to use one of the limiters. I used the red one.The price was very good. About $150 less than my local pool store for the exact same product in the exact same box. It came quickly and I had it installed and running in about an hour including adjusting the hose length twice and trying various flow r*

Replacing the foam cleaner tail scrubber with the new Pool'N Brush will definitely avoid the spraying out of the pool, and will provide for a long time, a far better and more efficient scrubbing/brushing action.

The real problem is Pentair customer tech support , I called yesterday and was on hold for over an hour ( not acceptable) then they never answered. I’ve been a pool tech for over 25 years , Pentair tech support is terrible so I’m not installing their products anymore , there are other manufacturers that stand behind their products . When contacted local sales representative his answer was: we’re busy , so what, hire more people, remember it takes losing one customer at a time for a business to fail. Btw this is not only me , when I talk to other pool companies I get the same feedback. So the word is getting around that Pentair’s service is substandard.

Try to use the Pool'N Brush to replace the good old fashioned sponge scrubber. It works well and much much more efficient! web site: www.poolnbrush.com

I bought a brand new 280 when I replastered my pool. The 280 regularly ended up sucking the scrubber up its own tail (the intake on the bottom). I found it in this state for a week solid, then gave it up and removed the scrubber. It stopped inhaling its own tail, but now, of course, wets down everything in the patio. Annoying.

I have the same question: I was told 28K RPM but I haven't tried it yet. Just had the pump installed recently here in MD.

Depending of the distance from the skimmer to the pump. Start with 1000 rpm and Is needed increase or decrease 100 rpm at a time. How do you know which is the lowest effective speed? Two conditions need to be present: The skimmer weir is being pushed back. That means you have proper skimming action for most skimmers is about 25 gpm The filter air release sprays water which means the filter tank is full .

Yeah Right! Might as well have used a dirty sock in the basket for all the clearing up a "cloudy" pool this crap did. The thing is..if the pool companies would just be honest, and sell stuff that actually does what it's supposed to...they would make a lot more profit..

I thought watts = amps * volts. According to the video, the induction 3HP pump uses 230v and 7.26 amps which by formula would be 1669.8 watts. However, they say that the watts used was 2880. In contrast, the Intelliflo pump used 230v and 11.5 amps which by formula would be 2645 watts, but they claim it only used 2610 watts. So why does the traditional formula not work according to Pentair?
