Brianne, I love digital notebooks but I do not like having to send out all the information at the same time. Is there a way to send out part of the information and then add as needed. I wanted to do a digital interactive Journaling Notebook in my Technology class to assist the students with the STAAR Test and typing what they are thinking. It has helped in the past and I feel it is something that we need to do daily. Do you have anyway to accomplish this?

I like your notebooks and I am thinking of buying the whole year on tpt. How many composition books will you need for the whole year?
@BusyMissBeebe

Each student needs one composition notebook with at least 80 pages.

Do you have them work on the foldable first then glue it it when done or glue first then work?
@BusyMissBeebe
@BusyMissBeebe 19 күн бұрын
@@tracytorchon466 foldable first, then glue. We use liquid glue, and it makes the paper wet and hard to write on. Plus, the binding can be challenging and get in the way if you glue first.

ooh girl. 7th grade?! That's so rough. I took a year to try middle school after having been a high school teacher for the first 3 years of my career. The difference in maturity and personalities and habits was FLABBERGASTING. I wish you much luck and patience. Even 9th grade vs 11th grade is so huge for maturity and development.

I have something similar to the drawers that go under the table. I connected them to my small group table. They worked great!! Idk how they’ll work with your standing desk, bc mine went on my small group table, but they were adjustable so I imagine they’ll work great!! Love your videos ❤ anyway… this is only my 2nd year teaching HS math so I learn so much from you!! Thank you!! Have a great school year!

Hi ! Which type of compass do you think is easier/more user friendly for students to use because I have been thinking about switching from traditional compasses?
@BusyMissBeebe
@BusyMissBeebe Ай бұрын
I love the flat compasses. They’re 2-in-1 so students don’t have to switch between tools, and they’re more like a stencil, so there isn’t much of a learning curve like with the traditional compass. The drawbacks are that students need to have sharp pencils to operate them, and that they are limited to only using the holes provided. They can’t set it to just any length like a traditional compass.

One question I have is regarding Thinking Classrooms. I have started implementing a Thinking Classroom structure in my middle and high school math classes, and students have moved away from writing down notes as rigidly as they had before. I think too often students are copying down the steps and then "mimicking" the steps they copied down, which shows me that students have learned how to mimic, but they don't actually have a deep understanding of the math concept (this is shown when students are given a problem that doesn't explicitly follow the steps from their notes, and they may have to think outside the box). Do you find that these notebook counteract mimicking? What does your lesson structure look like? Thanks!
@BusyMissBeebe
@BusyMissBeebe 3 ай бұрын
Hi. I have a video on my lesson structure. But it’s the traditional math lesson structure. You can adapt your notes for your teaching style. I give my students guided notes since I teach geometry and there are so many diagrams.

Brianne, You have a magic way that you work with your students. It's good to have the students on the same page with you dominantly because that does all of the managing in itself. Do you still turn certain redirections into a joke? If so, what are like some of the jokes that you've told? - Dwight

How would you plan for an 80 minute class that meets every other day?
@BusyMissBeebe

I’ve never been in that situation, but I’d probably plan the same way. Instead of having 5 separate 40 minute lessons, I’d end up doubling up to teach 2 lessons in the 80 minutes.

Is there a way to keep your organe, 4pt outline to be a default? I tried to do this and I had to select the color and size each time.
@BusyMissBeebe
@BusyMissBeebe 6 ай бұрын
I don't think there is at this time. A work around for that though would be to create a slide with all of your desired defaults, and then to use it as a template. Next time you want to create a new slides file, you can make a copy from your template.

How can you import a quiz from TPT into google classroom as a quiz where you can import grades?
@BusyMissBeebe
