Always read that ‘Unleashed’ was never considered a real Live album because Rob’s vocals were redone in the studio. But clips like this just shows Rob was more than capable of doing it live- it wasn’t studio magic, it was all the Metal God himself

What a gentleman. No wonder some junkie kids tried to get advantage of him. Great drummer, a whole decade with Priest! RIP Dave Holland.

Don’t know when or if you’ll read this, but this seems like the only option. I saw on an archive of your site that you have an audience recording of December 18th, 1983 in Dortmund, Germany. Now, I’ve heard that there’s a bootleg of this show that has the entire set. So, I have a few questions. First, does your audience copy of the show have the entire set and if it does, could you possibly upload it here? Hearing Sinner or Screaming for Vengeance from this show has been something I’ve wanted for years, but thought wouldn’t happen. Also, thank you for running the website for all of those years, and now uploading things here. My interest in live recordings of bands mostly starts from the bootlegs you put on your site that spread here to KZbin.

Due to lack of budget, we used 16mm film for two cameras. The camera under the stage was stopped while filming to save film. My father said that it was difficult to synchronize the sound when editing. The conditions for shooting a live performance were the worst. ENG cameras began to be widely used in Japan in 1985. This is when Sony's Betacam started to recover. Director: Mitsuo Taki

My father was in charge of directing this film. I was also present at this photoshoot at the age of 17. It's nostalgic. Production company: TBS Films inc. (currently TBS Sparkle inc.) Direction: Mitsuo Taki

🤘'78 was my first Priest show in a tiny venue in N.J. Those were shows! no curfew and bands really showed their chops! sad for todays concert goers, you'll never know what a concert that goes till 2 am because the band is feeding off the crowd feels like. not just a recital of material with pre-programmed encors
