The best festival of all time. Had to work. My work partner went and said the magic was palpable. No more need be said.

Well she’s coming down the stairs, holding back her yellow hair, and I ain’t gonna be treated this ol way. This ol way. And I ain’t gonna be treated this ol way. Well she went up to a room and she sang a fateful tune, and I’m going where those chilly winds don’t blow, winds don’t blow, and I’m going where those chilly winds don’t blow. Well I married me a wife, she’s been trouble all my life. Run me out in the cold rain and snow. rain and snow, run me out in the cold rain and snow.

LOVE it what Bill pops in and signals the change at 1:24 ...he whacks the snare twice and that's the indication to change it up for every one...Jerry's riff becomes that glorious "Eleven Riff"!

Can't really explain this but this song helped me big time, at my first drug rehab, back in 88. I had just taped the Monterey Pop Festival off the radio. Kept playing this over and over. Somehow it helped me deal with the aggravation and more. Now days, I can greatly relate to the lyrics. Groovy Tune

5:31 is the recording cutting and a further part of the song continues the recording? Or is it just a weird time signature switch or somethjng?

If anyone can link me to the recording of this song from the acid test that was on film? I believe it was in 66. Its also the the film that was featured in the documentary, "Magic Trip". I remember it being on KZbin, years ago, before Zane Kesey had it taken down. Thank you! God bless the family!

You have it backwards mate, there are recordings of the Grateful Dead playing this tune from 1966, two years before Pentangle's first album even came out. Pentangle's version is much more like the recording by Obray Ramsey than this faster arrangement.
