I used Cricut basswood which is 1/16 inch. If you are buying other basswood make sure it is either 1/16 or 1/32.

You're so welcome. I actually didn't mount it to the wall because I move it around my studio. I've already moved it to another wall in the craft room since posting this. That being said you should anchor it to the wall especially if you have kids.

Yes you can just iron it a bit longer and don’t add any water to your iron.
