You definitely missed out on the Fortaleza Still Strength. My favorite above the base three. Good pick on the Puntas and Heart Release. I bought the Shenk’s during the Alabama annual drop but haven’t opened it yet. Having regrets based on recent comments.

People don't know yet. Specs year end drop blows every bourbon hunting/drop out of the water. There are people handing you allocated bottles. Insane.

That's a great store! However, you didn't name the store or even what city it is in Missouri. They had a bunch of stuff just sitting on the shelves that is very allocated here in VA, and you got some great pickups.

Offering you a Fortaleza blanco in the back when you passed on the still strength means he appreciates you and customers in general. I can get weller special reserve, blantons, and eagle rare almost any month, but I'm working like crazy to get Fortaleza here on the east coast and it's crazy how difficult it is to get here. It's really wild what is hard to get depending on where you live.

@ It’s a 15 year cask strength from Augusta Distillery. They are limited release and pretty HTF. A bit pricier than most of those bottles tho. It’s all personal preference tho. There were a few bottles I would have taken over the Bombergers but that’s because this years release wasn’t even close to being as good as the last few years release.

@@The_Unbottled If you live in tennessee and you're paying $100 for weller special reserve, consider making a road trip to Ohio and just going on the ohio liquor website. The website gives you a literal map to just follow and buy weller special reserve. That said, I don't make special trips. I live in Virginia and drive to Michigan for major holidays. I always just pull up the website and stop along the way to collect a few bottles.

Excellent choices! I would recommend Tapatio blanco and also something from NOM 1123. It’s a lowland agave with more earthy, vegetal tasting notes. Cascahuin blanco is good but try El Gran Legado, Siembra Valles or Wild Common

They actually stopped releasing it and the remaining stock is at the distillery and will be for sale during Christmas for around 150 a bottles. Nice little jump from 60 bucks. Fortunately me and some buddy’s around DFW found this out early and pretty much bought every bottle in the area from specs and goody goody
