Easy when you can hook on the drop pipe, but try it when the drop pipe is completely severed and the pump has fallen to the bottom.

What kind of poly pipe is that? Usually it only goes about 300 feet deep
@freddozer1399Ай бұрын
As you said, I could not find a poly tube pipe to put in my new 420 foot deep Pa home. The well driller filled me in. Only way to go is schedule 80 pvc and has to be threaded. I used brass couplings.

@@freddozer1399 Can't glue fittings?
@freddozer1399Ай бұрын
@@jameshallford8656 No, because you will never be able to pull up or drop down. Here is how I did it. I uses 1-inch sch-80 pvc and threaded both ends of 40 ten foot pieces. The key part I made from a 1/4 inch thick by 8 X 8 aluminum flat stock. I cut in half on my table saw. Then put it on a flat small piece of scrap plywood, that is bigger than the aluminum. Fit the aluminum back to its original shape before you cut it in half. Screw small pieces of wood on every side. Now get a hole-saw slightly larger than od of pipe and drill a hole in the very center. now you need to use some flat stock on one end so you can open and close around pipe. I did both sides so it could not accidently open. This plate with the hole in it is your workbench and stop. You put a threaded coupling (I used brass) on one end of each 10 foot piece. I built a TP out of 16 foot 2 x8 and used a block a tackle to lower it. I temporally screwed a eye fitting into the coupling top and had a hook on the block and tackle rope. As its lowered and hits the plate it stops and you unscrew the eye and screw another 10 piece of pipe in and its all repetition. Yes you must pull upward and open the hinge to let the coupling thru. I also notched the plate opening on one side for the wire and a pull rope. I ran the pump in a 55 gallon drum after I made the watertight connections. before I set the pump in.

should have put a check valve or two since the pipe line was so long that way their isn't a back hammering on the top of that pump set an inline check valve about 12ft above the pump and another one at the top of the well casing about three or five feet down H2O Mechanic on Utube, recommends this even thoe the pump has one built inside it.. the extra chk valve relives the back psi hammering and 500ft is allot of downwards psi

This seems a little sketch to me. The rack and pinion is engineered to be static relative to the vehicle. The linkage and universal joints aren't designed for the constant motion. And mounting the rack to the diff cover seems a little iffy as well. Some very creative designs but I wonder what an engineer would have to say about it.

Like your videos learn a little bit, but I have a question for the fan set up. I have a 2011 ram 2500 heavy duty with the 6.7 Cummins. I'm changing the radiator out to a three core and the fan did not fit so I thought about putting electric fans on it, but I cannot find, anything on wiring the fan up, Also, would the engine light still be on for the fan since the fan would not be plugged in or would you use the wires that operated the clutch fan? Any ideas would be great. Thank you.

Just picked up the Off road CAT. It looks like it is better built as well. Heavier and all steel construction instead of aluminum. Also the no turning wheels isn't a big deal. The wheels are so tall you can lean it on its side and turn it like a bike.
