The original Giovanni's shrimp truck is in Kahuku.. the one you went to opened just a little later. Fumi's and Romy's in Kahuku have their own shrimp farm ponds directly behind their brick and mortar eateries.. many people feel it is better than Giovanni's.

Thanks for posting this! I’ve been trying to find answers to my questions and wondering if you’re able ti answer them. Going to Honolulu in Jan 2022. 1. We aren’t planning to rent a car. Staying in Waikiki Beach. Any idea how to get to this tour? 2. Was there a lot of walking involved?

1. An Uber/taxi may be able to provide you transportation to this area. However, you should definitely check the website for rsvp. 2. For this ATV tour, it’s mostly riding the ATV and enjoying the scenery. Walking is only when you’re off the ATV and the tour guide would explain the story of the area or take pics. :)

In Hawaii, us locals pronounce lychee as : lie-chee, and we hear the mainlanders pronounce it as lee-chee. Ukulele is pronounced as: short 'u' - koo - lay - lay (not a long u' - koo - lei - lee. 'Cookie Corner' Shops are a locals' favorite for their baked cookies for decades ! Oahu's freeways (the other islands do NOT have a freeway system) were made narrower for two reasons by the Hawaii Department of Transportation: to reduce traffic congestions by making more lanes and to reduce speeding which lead to accidents. This was changed more than 10+ years ago... and yes, some spots especially around even slight curves can be slightly scary especially if there is a large truck or pick up going the same speed as you are driving. Maximum speed limit on Oahu is 60 mph, and that is ONLY on certain straight away stretches of the H-1, H-2 and H-3 freeways --- as it is normally capped at 55 mph. I remember when pineapples and sugar cane were the cash crops here in Hawaii... pineapple fields from once you have left Wahiawa on the way to Whitmore Village and all the way into Haleiwa on the left side of Kamehameha Hwy, while the right side was all sugar cane. The sugar brand 'C & H" is called that as sugar was grown on Oahu (and other islands) and other islands and transported by boat to Crockett, California for processing ... hence the C (California) and H (Hawaii). In the Hawaiian language, should a 'w' follow a vowel, the syllable is pronounced as a 'v', (vah), not as a 'w'. Fresh poke on Oahu is averaging I would say about $23/24 per pound.

next time see what you get to eat when you take Hawaiian Airlines ! Believe they are still the ONLY domestic airline carrier to provide you with a free meal (lunch, or breakfast, or dinner) plus free juices/sodas, snacks, etc. Proper Hawaiian pronunciation for the capital of Hawaii (which don't worry, a lot of tourists wouldn't know) of Honolulu: hoe (like the garden tool) know - lou - lou. Enjoyed the video ! \uuu/

Ivna Fontenele Yeah, I was lost too lol but I parked my car at the Cannon Mountain RV Lot. When you’re looking for the trail, walk out of the parking lot, cross the street, and take a right. There’s a little trail and you will see a sign that says Loop Trail. I basically followed that and the red markers lol Have fun!
