Watching from Hampton VA. Great information. It used to be right up to the civil war that entire electrical grid for Liberia was 120 vAC 60 hertz. It's possible to buy on Amazon or eBay or even at Walmart one of those affordable travel converters like one would use when traveling anywhere out of North America. If one is just carrying a laptop or tablet and a cell phone that's all that's needed ( especially if the excursion is only for a couple of weeks ). Regarding your reference about clothing I would append those by suggesting a more convenient and perhaps even cheaper suggestion - your local thrift store. A Goodwill or a Salvation Army is a great place to find gently used clothing at a great price point. It's apparent from your remarks regarding money that there's a 'patronage' infrastructure from the moment that one emerges from the jetbridge until arriving at Monrovia or wherever the destination is. So it's indeed helpful if one already has a connection in Liberia. All in all this has been informative. Great job!
