She said use instant yeast which you can add directly in the dry ingredients. She is actually using ACTIVE yeast which she shows you how to mix in warm milk until it bubbles than it is incorporated in the dry ingredients. There is a difference. Make sure you read the label packet of yeast carefully.

I still say couples should not go into business together. Your marital problems will trickle down to the business and fail because there’s no break. You mad at home and then having to see the person you’re mad at work. Now you’re less focused on the business and things go left…

So sad that this black own restaurant could not become an iconic spot, I live in columbus mississippi and people here would travel there just to get a turkey leg, such a shame, come on ya'll, I have a restaurant, simply violations that could've been corrected.

Health violations means you don’t care about serving safe food. They cared about profit over human safety. If someone died…

@@InspirationalSpaceship there was a point we didnt hear about this being an issue. But they became greater than their supporters. The base that put them on a pedastal. Then they started with becoming the uppidy upscale restaurant. Thats when they lost there way because they was becoming nationally known. Instead of keeping the home spot and its supporters. And open the upscale experience restaurant. Like base model ford/ luxury lincoln, chevy suburban/cadillac escalade. They just lost their identity

Sounds like they were not running the business properly. Health department normally gives you a chance to fix things before shutting you down. And how they only have 50k in assets when they have customers galore? I have heard nothing but good things about the food 😊

I ate there once, I didnt like it. I dont want my food piled on top of itself. Never went in tho, my husband went and brought it home so I cannot validate the standard of the restaurant
@lancegreene318523 күн бұрын
I’ll tell you the issue based what I see in the media and outsider looking 👀 in , these people had a grand idea and they needed flavor to kick it off and they did . Why is this good ? It’s like a hotdog , you can add a major upcharge. Let’s be honest Türkiye takes forever to cook properly . So it’s worth a try . But here’s the issue and why I would have eaten here but I’m not sure now. You see, these people had a gold mine but they decided to steal from their selves by trying to upscale personally without upscaling to a second location OR, doubling down on this location by staying on track with a financial plan that allows you to enjoy your upcharges instead of spending it before it comes . When the slow days came, they didn’t want to pay bills . Thing is this, put yourself ahead of a simple business . Drinks. Food. Simple menu . Large crowd . What more do you need ? Some people don’t want to be a few years to become profitable and then spend on personally advances . When you go and ask for a loan , when the business is doing good, that’s a red flag. It’s a sign of being money hungry . I can understand if you need a loan to open a second location. But you don’t need another loan on the same old frank stand , which is running well. Unless you wanna spend personally . Being in major debt and take a loan that your business doesn’t need is risky . Kinda selfish and what about the food ? Will the food be compromised to save money ? Why not ? When you become greedy and you become insane in your ideas . If this restuarant needed anything, I would agree . If they even had maybe a more complex menu , I could understand maybe . If it’s not broke , and doing well, and you owe major loans already , don’t ask for more loans . We all have to learn but I admire those who have had restaurants for 60yrs and more . Small burger spots , seafood, or soul food . What’s the secret ? I would say contentment and consistency . Being consistent with taste , keep customers coming back and some business owners love just that . The people . Yes they bring money but they also bring love for the business . And the owner doesn’t want to risk his customers missing out on his /her loving heart . Plus some people need something g to do everyday so they work in their own business . Keeping prices moderate , opening on schedule . Some places won’t have many events but local ones , within families . And that’s enough . It’s hard , I understand, you have a business and you getting calls from banks saying hey , I’ll give you XYZ and it’s hard to say no I’m not ready . Remember this , if your business is doing well and people love it , open another location , simple . For people who don’t want to start their own , open a franchise . Learn corporate trainings and apply it to your other businesses . I understand why the church couple wanted to invest but they don’t understand how indebted you are . That 300-600k they invested is nothing compared to the million + owed . Now how do you clean this up ? Does anyone have enough money and is it worth it ? I would sell the name and open another location , simple . The name says it all , you don’t need that location . Start over
