You judge a team by how they look after the trading deadline...between additions, subtractions and injuries, you just don't know. One thing is sure, you need a gritty, physical, two-way center on your 3rd line. Chytil is NOT that player. Forget injuries, he has always been a soft player. Another 1st round bust - see also Anderson, Krastov, Hendrickson on the 2nd round

If he gets consistent power play time then I see him having a point per game around 35 goals for 24-25. They’d have to split time with 1st and 2nd unit though. No way the breakup the current PP1

Hi guys, great show as usual. Can hardly wait for the opening game in Pittsburgh on the 9th October. Regarding the lines, I'd stick with the current arranging for 1st/2nd lines, except the addition of Reilly Smith on the "obscure" right wing spot. Hopefully he's gonna be the much needed door opener for Mika and Kreider. But I agree that Laffy has to be on the 1st PP line for sure. Gentlemen, keep up the awesome work and we'll see us in October. Let's go Rangers!

The rangers CANT make any drastic improvements.. last year was out best chance at a cup... maybe this year we can make a final run... but we are in SALARY CAP HELL. We have no money. No cap space.. they cant do ANYTHING. THEY CANT BRING THE PLAYERS IN THAGT WOULD BE NEEDED TO MOVE THE NEEDLE... and after this season it really goes to shit. We have so many people to sign and no money to work with, we are gonna be filling out 11 spots on the roster with veteran minimums.. 1 million per year and under type salaries. They just cant make it happen, the guys we have that are eating up all the valuable cap space arent cup winners and it wont allow us to build around them.. these are guys i like, i dont mind them, but they dont justify their salaries, they dont allow us to get the other pieces we need. If we had these same players just a little cheaper so drury had a little more flexibility to add around them, maybe we could move the needle, but we are overpaying people who arent it. Unless Laf comes out (and maybe he does) and elevates his game to new levels, and kaapo kakko can finally give us something. . Then kreider stays himself, zibanejad goes back to a 40 goal scorer AND perform in the playoffs..... and then Trouba rolls back the clock and Miller takes a step into a better defenseman and other guys make enormous progress on the blueline... idk... im just thinking the rangers as they are, are at best perennial contenders but they just arent enough
