some of the door panels have clips you just have to run a tool instead and hear the clicks

Thanks man helped a lot Ive done this once before and if you have extra foam you can cut up small pieces to fit in worn parts, and spray adhesive some old tshirt material over it.

What fuses did you tap into for the hardwire kit?

Did you ever get around to doing the hardwire kit? My wife has a 17 Limited and I’m looking at doing a dash cam.

Sure did. It was a bit of a pain to do because there’s only two fuses with acc power so you need a fuse splitter to get it right. I’ll try to do an overview video

Woah I'm soooooOOO going to back to the junkyard and grabbing the covers off the black leather v6 models. Last month grabbed the black leather door panels with color match silver switches for my 07 SE. I LOVE THIS

Definitely a budget friendly option. Though it is a bit of work to strip them. Make sure you have a solid diagonal cutter or you may be there for a while.

Happy to help. We try to make our videos as straight to the point as possible. Don't really like all the long intros, just want to show people how to do it.

Can I ask you a question? I just replaced my 2007 Kia Sorento power window motor yesterday, that went well no problems. Now watching your vid here you had to take off the panel like I did. The problem is getting the stupid panel back on! But now I see you removed the Tweeter speaker to make it easier. I watched another video and the guy did Not take off the tweeter, and the panel popped right back on quickly! He has the 2008 Sorento. I was commenting with him back and forth and he could Not just answer a simple question for me! You said the Lip of the top of the panel (where the weatherstrip rubber is) tucks Over the lip of the Metal rim close to the window glass, correct? This guy did the video without talking, and he added the talking after the video, not in real time. But he would just Not answer the question like I asked you about the lip of the panel going over the lip of the metal close to the glass. So here I am banging and banging this panel on for over 2 hours, messing up my body muscles. And there was always a 1 inch Gap between the top of the panel and the glass! That was because I did not take off that small speaker like you did. I will finish that today!! So if you can just tell me how the top of the panel meets the lip of the metal frame close to the glass, I would Greatly appreciate it!!! Thanks so much in advance my friend! Great video here of coarse! And have a nice rest of the weekend!!

Hey there, sorry to hear you've had such a rough time. The top part should sit flush with the window when you set it on the metal track. Think of it like a hinge. You'll have the bottom part swung out about 2-3 inches from the bottom of the door and the top portion of it as close as you can get it to the window, then slide the whole panel down. It should have a little bit of a click to it when you get it back on the door track. If you get that gap you mentioned it's because the rubber is hooked on the outside of the track rather then on top of it. I'm not super good about monitoring comments currently, so if you get stuck, just send an email me and I can get you a video with better angles for how it hooks back on. [email protected]

@@blessingothersaz yeah the problem was like I mentioned that Tweeter speaker on top of the panel that needs to be removed in order to put the panel back on. I think that showed up in your video which was a big help. Then I had no problem whatsoever getting that panel back on and then I put the Tweeter back on when I was done. Thanks a lot great video!
