Great informative video Frank! I love my pair of Dummies, they have their own personalities. They’re always running around doing goofy stuff. I have a few questions. How many years do they live? At how many months do they start breeding? Thank you for everything Frank 🐉❤
@LivingArtbyFrankPayne22 күн бұрын
I don't think anyone knows exactly how long they live at this point. Too new. But I would estimate around 10 years. They can start breeding as early as six months old.

Frank. First a great video. Second you mentioned trios, I assume 1.2, had you had any success with this? I attempted it for a couple of months, introducing one female to an established pair. The resident female acted very territorially to the new comer. They were approximately the same age. While in another group I had a female that was still juvenile with the pair and that female showed little to no interest. With regards to the territorial female she would raise her neck crest and body posture the subordinate female would retreat and then she would aggressively chase her. I watched them closely to make sure it didn’t evolve to bitting etc. It was basically color change and bullying but no biting, although she opened her mouth once and that is when I separated them. The enclosure was 24wX18dX36h so they had what I thought more than enough room for a trio at least but the aggressor would never let the other female have a break and she was always on guard. After about two months I felt it wasn’t going to change and separated them. Possibly if they grew up together, I am not sure. I too had thought about raising a litter and leaving them with their parents the whole time but fear once they come of age I might see the same thing in addition to any male issues with the father. I have never housed two males together but assume like most lizards they are very territorial.
@LivingArtbyFrankPayne22 күн бұрын
I haven't yet tried to keep them in 1.2 but I didn't think it would be a problem. Based on what you observed it may not be a good idea though. I definitely wouldn't keep two adult males together as I've seen males really display to each other when they glimpse each other. I do raise them until nearly adulthood together but I haven't kept anything other than 1.1 once they reach sexual maturity.

So I'm going to say after my friend has had his blue tongue for a while it is not a pitch black line. All the solid black coloration is turning almost to a chocolate color. It's definitely different but not sure what it would be considered.

I live on Indonesia. Native place of these guy. Used to be alot of them in my backyard. Its all gone now. I plan to reintrodice them and currently have 2 female and a male staying on an open enclosure (my bedroom :/) to aclimate to the weather around my house. About the ant myth, its actually not far from the truth. I once caught some when i was young and they refuse to eat anything other than ants (tried giving it mealworms and cricket). And the current one i aclimating imidiately eat some ants that i gave. Not even an hour after i open them from box So yeah, they love ants
@LivingArtbyFrankPayneАй бұрын
I have no doubt they eat ants but they do not require them to be healthy. For years people that they did.

I need help, i have 2 PBS for the past 5 years. Recently i found 1 of them is sick, i brought him to the hospital and did an xray and found he have mbd. But how did this happen 😢 the other is totally fine, but the other is very weak. The vet asked me to soak him twice a day with vitamin water for a week and force feed him with crickets dusted with calcium and put a uvb light. What else can i do to make sure he is going on the right track or is this sufficient? 😭

I feel you guys should try to start exporting of captive bread species to be introduced back into the wild even color morphes if it's permissable by the governments standards

In almost all cases this isn't possible by private individuals. Instead my goal by producing captive bred animals is to reduce the demand for wild collected animals.
