When I was 5 years old, my grandmother got me into Sinatra, because of a kindergarten graduation song my class was doing. I was given a VHS documentary that showed a clip of Sinatra and Presley singing together. Then I remember going to the Hard Rock Cafe and saw the suit Elvis wore on this show.

Only Paul could and did put so much into all he did. Nobody else could cover that song at all. It needs to stay uncoverable because there is only 1 James Paul McCartney.

Wished they could have taped the show in colour. I'm glad the show was preserved! I've never seen the whole broadcast before.

they lied! This isn’t in living color!

This is even a bad copy, but at least a complete show.. It was broadcasted in colour back then, but as far as we know, no "recording " in colour exists. Same goes for the Welcome Home Elvis show with Frank Sinatra, also broadcasted in colour. But only recorded in black and white.. So THEY did not lie...You misunderstood.

This song and others by the Beatles are proof that they can release more albums. I have a complete version of Oh Darling that Paul sings with his mellow voice, and it's of good quality. There is a 27-minute version of Helter Skelter that's never been heard. Maybe only diehards like myself would buy it, but I'm sure they would still make a profit

America only discovered him when he showed up on TV in '56, but if you google his tour schedule from 1954-5, you see him gigging 5-6 nights a week across the south & west coast, in high school gyms, church basements, county fairs, VFW halls, etc. Paying his dues, learning his trade, etc. The way "overnight success" is supposed to work...🙏🎼🎭😎

Sounds like an off center record playing, has that weird warble in it, better to just listen to the final recording really. Better singing in it, too.

This must have been one of the final concerts Elvis gave before he launched on his 9 year movie career. I would have liked a mixture of live concerts and movies. For 9 years there was no way to see Elvis.
@donaldlucas9984 ай бұрын
Yes, I agree with you there. I had read or heard somewhere that there was have supposed to been a small concert tour in 1963, and Rca was going to do an album of it, but for whatever reason, it got cancelled. But this concert was in 1961, and I think it was his last, until the 1968 tv special. But I agree fully that he should had did concerts while doing movies too. It could have made him have more hits, and I would have liked to seen his dancing movements on stage during the 1960s.
