I think the packaging is the way it is because kids like to see the thing they don't care for all the literature and big cardboard box that comes with more hobby grade models.

An honourable mention for me must be Boulder. Honestly it’s one of the more scary episodes based on the tone, the music and the overall ending. Also ngl The Flying Kipper can be rather scary in the right frame of mind.

While I don’t enjoy the movie this character originates from I am glad Bachmann is still going strong with their Thomas models seeing they’re the only manufacturer I can think of that is doing good Thomas merch outside of Japan. That aside great video, not sure when you’ll next upload seeing you haven’t uploaded anything since late 2021, I’m curious to see what you have planned next.

The fact that in one of the images Beau is the same height to engine like Thomas and Rosie is very strange. Despite Beau being a weird pick as well as him being very fragile, he looks really good

Woah! Found this video on your channel page; it's sad YT doesn't promote videos like this. This is wonderful! The song fits the movie well. I think the plot of TATMR would have done far better as a short show instead of trying to squeeze it into a movie; so much remains unexplained. I might be a bit biased though; TATMR always was my favorite Thomas media, despite the canonical complications.

Great video! It's kinda strange that the most detailed Bachmann Thomas character is one that has probably the least screentime of any other character Bachmann has adapted. It makes sense though, with the tooling and all that; slap a face on it, add some paint and boom: it's Beau. I just wish they put half as much effort into the other models as they did for such an obscure, and honestly kind of unexpected, character. Also, totally agree on the buffers! Their great and all but look super cursed on American equipment. Not to mention, American standard couplers make buffers pretty much completely pointless anyway.

I know Bachmann can’t do non-CGI engines like BoCo and Stepney, but Beau is probably the most random choice for Bachmann to make. And yet they still put all their effort into this model of such an obscure character.
@joshuaW5621

I’m kinda surprised Bachmann made Beau knowing how obscure he is, but they certainly didn’t disappoint with this model.

@@Undathesea I’d love to see them do older characters too, but unfortunately due to Mattel’s orders, we may not be getting any engines who didn’t appear in CGI until at least the revival era happens. Mattel doesn’t think those characters would sell too well since they’re not relevant.

You know, it's been rumored that in Ghost Train, there was actually supposed to be a scene where the viewers got an up close view of the actual engine, though it was scrapped (pun intended) because it was scene as too scary for young viewers. I'm pretty sure that's what it said. If you read up on the Timothy the Ghost Engine wiki page, it'll say something like this and Timothy is actually the engine the Ghost story was based off of

I noticed that too while editing the video tbh. Tho I think most of them are smaller details. Let alone, Beau’s tv model is also missing a lot of smaller details that the real Genoa locomotive has irl.

The problem with the size is that the Thomas products are mostly made to OO Gauge which is 1/76 or 4MM/foot scale while Beau is traditional HO scale which is 1/87 or 3.5MM/foot scale. Most of the rolling stock used in the T&F line is reused from Bachmann Branchline, their UK range, models which are OO Gauge or 1/76 using older toolings that had tension lock couplings held on with a screw as opposed to Toad who was made using, of all things, Bachmann Branchline GWR Toad Brakevan tooling with the more easily swapped NEM coupling pockets that can accept a knuckle coupling by just pulling the tension lock coupling out.
