There is something in the BLOOD of Jesus that is very seldom acknowledged. In Lev 17:11, God says, "For the LIFE of a creature is IN the blood, and I have given it TO YOU to make AT--ONE-MENT for your sins. It is the BLOOD that makes ATONEMENT for one's LIFE. CHRIST IN ME, THE HOPE OF GLORY. Col 1:27. 😊

that's a great insight and a good way of explaining atonement - to make one, to reconcile by means of a substitutionary (life for life) sacrifice. and hebrews 9-10 explains only Jesus could be that all-sufficient once for all sacrifice.

I’m so sorry to hear that! Many religious people are not truly following Jesus and don’t know God’s heart. Jesus tells a story about a lost sheep and how the shepherd leaves the others to search and rescue that one lost sheep. That’s God’s heart for you. He is pursing you. I pray you’d let Him find you and bring you home.

I understand why you’d say that. But in all sincerity, God is searching for you. He deeply desires a real and personal relationship with you. This is why He created you and why He sent His Son to die for us. This is what the entire Bible is about. If interested, check out Luke 15 (it’s 3 stories Jesus told).

The passage you mention in Isaiah 9:6 when it says "Mighty God" is translated from the Hebrew "El Gibbor," of which El is a reference to God's name Yahweh or YHWH. One of many OT examples clearly showing Jesus' divinity!

Pastor David this is comment is directed towards you, no I have confronted many pastors on this issue you you are speaking about, and every one of them have said the same thing in your ministry what does it take for a person to have salvation and do you tell people what repentance requires and means I myself have been in the ministry for 30 years and God has allowed me to see his Mercy and he has allowed me to see his Wrath 15 years ago I thought I was all that and because what I did a man lost his life I was talking with a young man on the porch witnessing with him I was I wasn't paying attention to the surroundings I didn't see the man had others in his car waiting for him when the man said to me when I get a Bible I'll look it up I handed him my Bible and my Bible case and I told him the pages are marked those were in the car saw the deal going down in their brains they're either had to be drugs in that Bible case or a payout in that Bible case that man was dead the moment he got back in his car and drove off at the funeral his mother offered me the Bible back and I told her no that she needed to share it with his nieces and nephews and and any family members willing to hear God's word so that her son didn't die in vain no my question to you is again what is a person to do to be born again let me reword that what does it take for a person to be born again what is the basis and meaning of real repentance it goes far beyond saying a prayer that doesn't exist in scriptures and one last question what does it take to be baptized because one thing I have always listed is it when John the Baptist was baptizing people in the Name of Christ and God it wasn't asking him for a certificate or they paid for and took classes on what it means to be baptized back in 05 I had my own church my own setup are still awake from the organizations and their wolf packs my deacons were recovering drug addicts my elders were World War II vets we had death threats against us I figure it was drug dealers because I found drug paraphernalia and needles around the church and I had to notify the police because we had children in our church on the September night in 05 they torched the 1900s Church it had a school attached to it along with the stained glass windows, and you want to know what took place after that the FBI was on my doorstep the investigated me and that was the end of it they didn't go any further I never heard anything more from them because I lived across the street they targeted me last Pastor I talked to add these words for me he said the only way to Salvation is through my church and my Ministry the only way to be baptized is to take my classes and pay a fee do you have Pastor was all about money not the Harvest my words to him were we serve different Gods good luck with your ministry, I have also had people come up and asked me if my picture on the wall started bleeding what would I do with it my words to those paperwork I have a fire pit Outback and that's where the picture would go because the Lord that I serve said it is finished is he gave up the ghost on calvary's Cross I found nowhere in scriptures other than the Vatican Rewritten Bible where Christ made inanimate objects Cry tears or bleed the only thing Christ did was when Moses was to speak to the Rock and ask the rock to produce water other than that you're allowed Elijah to hear the voice of the Earth the voices of the trees the grass even the wind at least if I remember right it was Elijah before he took him, I have preached sermons against the lgbtq I have preached sermons against abortion which is one of the seven deadly sins found in Proverbs 6:16-19 hands that are Swift to spill innocent blood there's nothing more innocent on this Earth than the blood of The Unborn Child as for the sodomites every book in the Bible Gibbs a warning against that particular lifestyle, now there are many churches out there and I hope you agree with me that have defiled their sanctuaries and desecrated their altars not with idolatry but with the Abominable actions of same sex unions these churches and their congregations are those found in Matthew 7:21-24 I want your opinion on these things that are destroying the foundation of familys and churches

First, thank you for sharing some of your story with me and for asking such a thoughtful question. I’ll try to answer your main question. According to Romans 10:9-10 anyone who calls on the Lord will be saved. So that if someone believes in their heart and confesses with their mouth, they are saved. I believe that also includes confessing sin (like 1 John 1:9) and turning from our way to God’s (repentance, according to Mark 16). Yet we have to make a distinction between this initial coming to Jesus and walking with Him. For example, You’ll recall the thief on the cross had no way to live out his repentance. Yet he was saved by a simple prayer “remember me Lord”. The Ethiopian was baptized in water instantly the moment he believed and confessed. He hadn’t “proven” Anything yet. There is a starting point of repentance, a process, and a result. We often are focused on the result but we need to focus on the “how to” to help people. the starting point is “come home”, like the prodigal and the process is “come to Me, follow Me”. Jesus requires and expects there to be fruit from our repentance (results like loving like He loves, serving others) but this often happens overtime. If someone has not truly made Jesus Lord or surrendered some area in their life, they will not grow and be free. Repentance and submission to Jesus is essential. What the gospel does is invite people to come home to God and draw near to Him so that they can have the motivation and power to repent. We cannot become like Jesus without His work in us by grace through faith. The just live by faith. This is what the book of romans explains to us in detail. Paul was often accused of saying “let’s sin so grace can abound” but he was teaching grace that produced holiness. Now I understand the concern for people who take God’s grace in vain or as a license to sin. The apostles confronted that in the early church. Sadly there have always been people who are not genuine. And many in the western church are falling away, growing cold, practicing immorality, and twisting God’s ways. But people’s unfaithfulness does not make God’s faithfulness of no effect. In other words just because there are insincere people who are not truly surrendered to Jesus’ Lordship or even born again (yet say they are Christians) does not mean that God’s grace is the problem. Those people will bear the consequence of their own actions. But there are also struggling, sincere believers who need to be discipled. I’ve seen many come to Jesus and their lives transformed from all manner of sin and bondage. His grace is powerful! I bless you my brother and your ministry. Keep serving Him.
