Thank you. This was helpful. I enjoyed it but I realized that all videos I have watched are always from the choir's perspective and never from the conductor himself's or herself's own perspective. I don't know if that's possible but would be great to see it.

Thank you for this nice interview! However I disagree with Mr. Danielpour when he says that the music of Carter and Glass are very similar. Amidst all the complex surfaces of Carter's music, there lies an innate sense of energy, drama and a lot of variations in mood which makes every listen very rewarding.

I'm also a musician myself but more contemporary and modern music. I'm actually into singer songwriter stuff and Americana right now.

There's no way I'm not related to John. He looks just like the Harbison's around here in Alabama.

The city of Buffalo is so fortunate to have JoAnn Falletta. She is truly a pioneer and she keeps breaking down barriers, especially in bringing new contemporary music to the forefront. By the way, she is also a multi Grammy winner.

A collaboration between these two fine musicians would be so fantastic -- hopefully in a piece that hasn't been "done to death" like Handel's Messiah, Beethoven's Ninth, Carmina Burana, Chichester Psalms or the Brahms Requiem ...
