So does Xbox have games or not? Seems the narrative is constantly changing from "Xbox has no games" to everyone losing their minds when a rumour comes out about Xbox possibly releasing a game on PS. How does Xbox have a bigger pipeline of PS games than Sony does? I'm primarily a PC gamer, but it's very humorous watching the narrative constantly changing. Just give Xbox its flowers, admit you want more games on PS, and call it a day.

Why not the reverse way too, i play on every platform, but really, i want that evry game goes to every platform. If it was like this, i shouldve only kept my xbox. Switch is the only exeption because of the mecanics

Yay, the boys are back with a great video. Thank you for ending my day in an entertaining way. Ori and the Blind Forest is the only game I really need to come to Playstation. I love that game and playing it with PS controller would be a dream come true (+ trophies?!?) The ultimate troll move by Microsoft would be: Releasing Gears of War or any XBOX flagship game on PS and then make it a 100% game without a Platinum. So, the players couldn’t earn a trophy. I try to make peace with my backlog. For some reason, the need to work on it keeps coming back in waves. A few days ago, I made an important decision: 2025 will be the year, I am trying to do something about it. I don’t know, how it is gonna go, but for the first time in years I feel excited to tacke (parts of) my backlog. So, small steps might be better than: my ultimate goal is 75%. (I’m at 63%.)

I have 79 platinums..FF7 Rebirth was the first game I can admit I got burned out on and sadly didn't get the platinum. All i had to do was beat Bonds with friendship simulator. The horrible motion blur had a little to do with the burn out as well. Anyone who did it congratulations 👏

My way to deal with platinum burnout is to never go for trophies again. My favorite parts of games are going in blind, playing organically, and getting lost in the world. It was fun to trophy hunt for awhile in my favorite games but after 3 years hunting as a life long gamer, I was sacrificing too much of my own enjoyment in the medium, what I loved most about games was being overridden by an OCD tendency to collect everything, do everything perfectly or restart, spend countless hours doing boring tasks, and constantly stoping to look at guides that often spoiled games which left me feeling like playing someone whose playing a game instead of just playing a game. Sorry for the rant that was probably incomprehensible. I just hope others don’t fall too far down the rabbit hole like I did. It’s cool for content creation but for the 99% of us, there’s nothing to prove, especially not for neckbeard twitter warriors chasing internet clout etc… but if you enjoy it, more power to you

I had burnout at some point, and what I did was played a game out of my comfort zone. It was Resident Evil 4 and its not just a good game, but probably one of the best I ever played. I did not played horror games before because It don't scare me. The reason probably I like the RE series is the good trophies. So my recommendation to try something new, a new genre or a franchise you never played before, but you might interested in to try.

I seem to have started Elden Ring and Monster Hunter Rise which I think was a bit of a mistake given how much dedication each of them needs. The Monster Hunter Wilds BETA test is out now too so that's what I'll have a go at this evening. I think I'm making what appears to be an insurmountable task for myself :D

Grinding for 1500 Platinum trophies. Now all the fun of trophy hunting is gone, im at 1420 plats now 😅

I trophy hunted for 2 or 3 years and I was getting burnt out, then ended up quitting. I pretty much just play on the switch and steam deck now and get much more enjoyment without thinking about trophies. Good for anyone who can do it long term though.

What also would help if you could delete trophy lists like you can with blank games (0% progress) then completionists (like me) i have 5 games of like 400 that if outside of 100% reach

I had 3 trophy burnouts in my 10 years of trophy hunting and I recommend stop playing for a while. Then play games without looking at trophies. And then play games, you enjo and continue trophy hunting. Stop playing games you don’t enjoy. Throw that completion rate out of the window. Don’t try to be efficient on your first (blind) playthrough. That ruined many games for me.

It's funny you mentioned 2D fighting games- I've been playing Persona 4 Arena which has been demanding with the combo challenges and score attack modes. It's difficulty is no joke 🤣 It was nice not to hear the usual suspects of games people avoid because of the difficulty. It gets tedious when Super Meat Boy, Wolfenstein 2 and Crypt of the Necrodancer keep being mentioned. Great video guys 😀

You’re welcome for the heads up! I almost forgot myself and managed to get the discounted month on the last day of the offer - yet to start Jedi Survivor though. As for fighting games, I just did UFC 5 yesterday and got the platinum in one day - it’s pretty fun and fairly straightforward to do. Only thing is for 3 of the trophies you can only get them during a UFC PPV week (fortunately there is one this weekend so I timed it well). Also the latest Street Fighter game is an easy platinum, much like the Tekken ones.

To anser the question: Games, I feel are out of my skill range: Ghostrunner, Returnal. These are Platinums, I need on my list (but so far, I have earned only a few trophies because of skill issues). I agree, a fighting game Platinum would be cool. I only started Mortal Kombat X years ago. I am not sure, if I ever get the Platinum in this. Great video, Nate and Dan. Keep being the lads, you are. (Of course, I want to hear from both, Dan and Nate. It would be silly to have two trophy hunters and only get one answer.)

S rank, trials, perfect run trophies are the worst.

As much as I'd like to say otherwise, I am guilty of avoiding certain games due to troublesome platinums. Unobtainable platinums as well. One that comes to mind in this fighting game called "Koihime Enbu RyoRaiRai" that I want to try out but it's notorious for having what is considered to probably be the hardest fighting game platinum to obtain. A good ol' 10/10 that one is. There are two specific combo trophies (one for damage, one for hit count) you have to do and nobody knows how to actually clear them. Like...people who actively compete in the game at tournaments don't know how. The only known method, unless something else was found since I last looked, is to downpatch your copy so you can utilize an infinite hit-stun glitch. That said glitch is still very hard to pull off, requiring a long sequence of multiple 1-frame inputs, and then there's the rest of the trophies like combo trials that are also extremely difficult or online trophies with inactive lobbies (gotta self boost for them). I like fighting games, I've even done a couple of the harder ones like "Skullgirls 2nd Encore" and "Arcana Heart 3"...but I'm not that good at them, not even remotely. My fear of that platinum overcomes my wanting to play it, and that is one of my greater shames to be honest. I've always said that, as trophy hunters, we have to make sure not to allow trophies to supersede the games themselves...yet here I am being a complete hypocrite. I almost just want to put the game on my profile anyway, never to be completed, so I can overcome that fear.

Anything with a massive online grind comes to mind for me. Luckily tacked on online-modes on single player games seems to have fallen out of favour during the last few years. Let's see when GTA VI comes out - that might be the time we all embark on another big grind.
