Yes. I also have a blind that is 8 ft wide. This won't work. I've been looking for a long, at least 48" thin flexible wand I can attach to my vacuum cleaner but can find no such thing. I would rather suck them out then blow them out.

But when I want to open my windows and they are folded, what can I do to prevent them from closing. Gravity is forcing them to go back to unfolding and closing again

this video was done years ago but it helped me today. I have rolling shades (same brand) and they needed recharging. But, the installer is out of business and the manufacturer's website is completely useless. Thank goodness for people like you, youtube and reddit.

If you want white shutters (i.e. not concerned about wood grain/staining) and live in a very hot climate during the summer, would composite shutters be the better choice?

I'm sorry, but this looks like sheet. I've become convinced that there is NO real solution for casement window shading.

I think this is just what I need to convert my hunter Douglas power blinds that have the power pack that cannot be disconnected unless you take the entire rail off the frame. Ill try giving you guys a call.
