This song is amazing! For me this song represents the beginning of dating. When you fall for your first bf or gf and you are fast into it. And then you slow down. Or the boy is nervous bc of his previous relationships. I love this song bc I feel like its kinda explaining losing virginity but also not. My fave line is "When you call me fucking dumb for the stupid shit i do" I reminds me of my parents tbh. My parents have always done that and said that to me. I lost my virginity so this song kinda relates to that part.(show & tell does more!) but it still is an amazing song!

Everyone in the comments makes me concerned. You all say "I thought this song was supposed to be sweet but people are saying it's about losing your virginity" Like... It's about being intimate. In every sense. Who says losing your virginity can't be something soft and sweet? That's how it's supposed to be. Being spiritually, emotionally, physically, mentally and soulfully intimate with someone is terrifying and exciting and torturous and amazing. I interpret the song as being scared to be intimate, including losing your virginity because all of that *is* sweet. Giving your virginity to someone is a connecting, scary and loving experience. At least, that's how i believe it should be.

People are forgetting the deep double meaning. This can absolutely be about sex and losing your virginity too. Doing such intimate things with someone else means being completely vulnerable, left unshielded and opening yourself up to let someone see the most personal things about you and your body. Especially when it's someone you love deeply, its giving them trust over your body and wellbeing. Its letting yourself be completely in someone else's hands

For me this song is about sharing emotions and thoughts with your partner. I'm a person who has very dark thoughts and emotions, I've always had trouble expressing these to past girlfriends/boyfriends. ' No training wheels left for you' Is for me, 1. being able to tell them about what goes on in my head and share when i hear/think those thoughts. And 2. being able to listen to them and agknolege their emotions.
