I’m so glad to see someone new get into shooting. I have taught several people how to shoot in my life so here are some tips. 1. Try to shoot with an “active grip” pretty much this means put your left hand on top of your right hand on your grip and have both of your thumbs point towards the target and hold as high up as you can. This will help to mitigate recoil and if you start to shoot thousands of rounds a day it will help to avoid friction blisters. 2. Try not to point your gun upwards until you have a good bit of practice. That is truthfully how accidents happen. If your in an indoor range you will shoot the ceiling as so many people have done. Or if your outdoors then what goes up must come down and a bullet will do just that and be very deadly to whatever random area is hit. 3. I don’t know if you currently are or aren’t but shooting with both eyes open will be slightly difficult at first but will help so much in the end. Lots of people have to break that habit and it’s better to break it sooner. 4. Pick your natural fighting stance and have your toes pointed towards the target while slightly leaning forward. This will help with recoil and how quickly you can get back on target. 5. Everyone has different body mechanics so don’t let someone tell you that your 100% wrong in how you shoot. If your safe and accurate and having fun at the range that’s all that really matters early on. Just get your reps in safely and try to learn the basics that lead into the type of shooting you want to do. IF YOU NEED VISUAL HELP SHOOTING WATCH @warriorpoetsociety with John Lovell and @TREXARMS with Lucas Botkin. They are both excellent shooters and teachers and can break it down to the level that a kid can understand it. Hopefully this helps with your amazing journey and keep up the good work have a wonderful day.

Glad to see work getting done. Suggestion: Have someone show a grip other than a Tea Cup grip.
