Do you describe the volume of dev. you used? Was it 10% or 20%? I suggest this video gets taken down from a professional here. A lot of people come here to do it at home. This is careless & dangerous. Please take it down. Make one that explains what to use while you did this or else people can hurt themselves from your video. Mental & physical depression is a serious matter.

@@Madisonreedllb Color line? Does that mean the section? Or the line of silver being covered? Thanks for the reply, I started cosmo school last week :) My mom has silver roots and she'll be my first model. Trying to learn enough to not botch her like my poor mannequin.

The "color line" meaning each individual brand of color may vary slightly. Once brand may be darker or lighter than ours or vice versa. 💜

Morning, and thank you for reaching out to Madison Reed. We'd love to help you find your perfect match and have a few questions for you in order to give you the best possible personalized consultation. 1) What is the texture of your hair? (Normal, Fine, Coarse) 2) What is your porosity? (Is your hair dry or in good condition?) 3) What is your natural hair color (Medium brown, Light brown, Light blonde, etc) 4) Do you have any gray? (What percentage?) 5) What is your desired result? You can send this to us in a private message, and we can consult with you on the best way to move away from black hair color. 💜

@Madisonreedllb2 ай бұрын
Happy to help with that question. The shade used was our beautiful Modena Brown 5.5NNN. bit.ly/39BaYqp. This shade is part of our Knockout series designed to offer more coverage for resistant grays. Please keep in mind, everyone's results might be slightly different based on their natural hair color and percentage of grays. If you would like to consult with a licensed colorist about your color, please send us some photos of your hair in natural, in-direct sunlight, so we may offer you the most personalized recommendations. You can send this in a private message as well.💜

So a 20 volume developer? I am afraid, I am going to lift the hair that is not gray.
@Madisonreedllb2 ай бұрын
Hello! The 20 volume activator allows the cuticle to open just enough to penetrate the cortex of the hair for full coverage and is the ideal activator for gray coverage. 💜

Hi @bhardwajupasna, this is our Modena Brown (formulated with extra pigment for resistant grays) - bit.ly/37EKW3N. We can recommend processing for a full 45min over the new growth/roots only. To refresh the mid-ends (already color treated hair), we can recommend using our semi-permanent Color Reviving Amaretto Gloss - bit.ly/3lEn3yl. 💜

What if you have a few blonde highlights on brown hair. How do I still do the roots without affecting the blonde?
@Madisonreedllb3 ай бұрын
Hi, Thank you for reaching out to us today. The colorist will apply color to the root only and if your highlighted hair is very light, and you worry there will be color transfer, you can ask them to apply conditioner to the highlighter areas to help avoid this and easy your mind. 💜
@stephaniejohnson32903 ай бұрын
Soooo. I literally just applied the highlights. It's not as easy as it seems. I had to have my daughter help me Also.... Not sure how many additional bottles of lightening activator she used 😂 my hair is about her length, and mine was nowhere near that saturated..... 🤷 Currently waiting for the timer to go off ...

how long the color can last? or how long it needs to re do to cover the new grow white root? thank you.
@Madisonreedllb4 ай бұрын
Hello, The average time between color applications is 3 to 6 weeks depending on hair growth. The fade time varies as well depending on how often you wash your hair, the texture of your hair, environmental factors, etc-it's different for everyone. We recommend color-reviving gloss to pump up your tone between touch ups. Our goal is to tailor a regime to you that will get you optimum results.😊

Dina for how long does the color last ? I.e. gray hair coverage...?
@Madisonreedllb5 ай бұрын
@deepikabalasubramanian3119 Thank you for contacting Madison Reed. Madison Reed Radiant Cream Color is a permanent hair color line. Although all permanent hair color fades over time, giving the appearance of color leaving the hair, it actually still lives in the hair strand until completely grown out. Hope this was helpful. 💜

...but you didn't show how she pulled that color through to her ends to get a consistant color scalp to ends!! Ugh My regrowth 75% gray is 2-3 inches, my ends are box dyed a level 5-6 copper red. I'm a natural redhead level 5. Getting my virgin resistant gray new growth to match my ends is scaring me to death. I've been box dying every 6-7 weeks for (good Lord) 25+ years and have never gone this long. Do I need to pre fill my gray with a level 5-6 neutral to force some green, blue pigments in there before applying the cooper red I usually use? Because I've always had hot roots, but not so hot to be bothersome, generally. Also every few years, as my hair grabs darker & darker, I'll use a color stripper to go back to a strawberry light blonde copper red (what most people would freak out & call Arrrgh my hair is ORANGE lol) I'm going to do test strips. I'm not that stupid!!! I do have bleach, but I'm afraid to try & bleach my ends. Oh and I did cut off a good 2" of my dark ends.

Do you recommend dying on clean or slightly dirty hair for best grey coverage?
@Madisonreedllb5 ай бұрын
Good morning! Thank you for reaching out to us. It's always a good idea to have clean hair before coloring to ensure the best coverage. If you've washed your hair and it's been 24 hours, you can still go ahead and color. Just be sure to avoid coloring if it's been more than 48 hours since washing or if you have a lot of oil-based products in your hair, as this can dilute the color. We hope this information was helpful for you. 💜

What do u do to keep your hair not too fade out to orange reddish color?
@Madisonreedllb6 ай бұрын
Hi @teresalittrell5791, we are so sorry to hear about your experience. We would love to help. Please note, it is natural part of the coloring process to see warmer tones as the color fades and the underlying tones are revealed. The average timing to touch up the roots is around every 3-6 weeks, but it can be different for each individual. To maintain cooler tones in the hair, we can recommend using our Color Reviving Espresso Gloss for brunettes (bit.ly/3gdzDDj)or Crema Gloss for blondes (bit.ly/2L8F9fg) around once every 3-4 weeks. We can also recommend using our Caffe Color Therapy Mask (bit.ly/37HIslk) or Perla Color Therapy Mask (bit.ly/37E3lxp) around 1-4 times a week depending on your starting point/ 💜
