Do you think new projects should utilise this instead of Fabric?
@DataMozart2 ай бұрын
Good question! I'd argue that Fabric will be the first choice for new projects, especially with all the "pushing" from Microsoft's side, and especially if you are building a lake-centric architecture with clear separation between the storage and compute layer

I’m currently preparing to do the DP-203 exam. Is the DP-203 exam now redundant?
@DataMozart2 ай бұрын
No, it's still here and will be for sure alive at least until the DP-700 goes out of beta, which probably won't happen before the end of this year (or maybe even later). Hope this helps

Is there any sources to get country wise numbers if that 70,000 DP-600 pasing numbers?
@DataMozart2 ай бұрын
It's 17.000, not 70.000:)...I'm sure Microsoft has this info, but the only publicly shared info was the summarized one about 17k...

Hi! Do we always need to publish the semantic model whenever there a (data) change? Is it possible to automatically reflect any (data) changes on the semantic model in the shortcut?
@DataMozart4 ай бұрын
Hi, it depends if you use Import/Direct Query/Direct Lake storage mode for semantic model. For Import mode, you must refresh semantic model to have the latest data from the data source. For Direct Query, it's not necessary, because queries will be generated at the query time and will always retrieve the latest data from the data source. For Direct Lake, you can enable "refresh" (data reframing) under settings "Keep your Direct Lake data up to date". If you are interested to learn how refresh works in Direct Lake, I wrote a blog post some time ago: data-mozart.com/50-shades-of-direct-lake-everything-you-need-to-know-about-the-new-power-bi-storage-mode/ Hope this helps

@@DataMozart Hi, I'm testing this process, but the export command (in the SSAS) do not create the parquet delta files for "direct query tables" from the semantic model. It creates the parquet delta files for the "import tables", and from there we can create the shortcut. Is this also happening to you or are you able to create the delta files for "direct query tables"?

Hi Nikola This is awesome. I have a query through in the implementation part. Since, the fields do not exist in the model (As per the error description in PBI Desktop with OLS applied) for a specific role, the visuals break. This means, the report author has to create another version of the report without using the fields included in OLS (To provide a seamless experience avoiding visual breakage error). Is my understanding correct ? Or there is a way to achieve this with a single copy of report supporting different roles ? (As in case of RLS) Please share some light. Many Thanks. Pratik
