That was quite the history lesson, Brad. While I know I learned a lot about the settlement of Jamestown when I was in school, I am sure my teachers would have left out the gruesome details. Thank you for completing my education, you are an excellent historian and teacher. Hope you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day.

The Bearskin hoodie is made in Communist China and Communist China tends to use the cheapest materials , everything thing that I have purchased that was made in China didn’t last over 3 to 6 months ! So in my opinion the Bearskin hoodie should be priced at about $25.00 to $35.00 dollars ! If you have one that you have had at least a year and have worn it regularly let me know I may buy one myself !

In the belief system of the local tribe, and many others, when a human consumes human, they turn into a wendigo, or similar, and cannot go back to truly human. Those kind of creatures are shunned and feared by the Natives. That's the extreme part. If the invaders hadn't lied, stole, trespassed, kidnapped, assaulted, destroying relations with the inhabitants, they wouldn't have needed to resorted to those extremes.

What a treat, being off on a day you post! Happy Thanksgiving to all! Those gruesome facts are really going to help me appreciate NOT struggling for food on a daily basis. I thank our good Lord everyday for being able to afford and prepare meals to sustain me that I might live another day. We can't take these things for granted, we are living a blessed life. Stories like this remind me how brutal life really was and just how appreciative I am to be alive today. Thank you, Brad. Blessings to all!

Thanks for the fascinating history of Macy's. I am glad that Roland H. Macy didn't give up after his 6th failure because I have enjoyed shopping at Macy's many times. I am sad that it is having to close so many stores but I do hope it will continue to be successful.

That depends on a lot of factors and your English teacher. Most experts say we should pronounce a proper noun as the owner of the name pronounced it. We don’t know how he pronounced it. I pronounce it with a long I because I’m southern. :)

Another great lesson in perseverance & keeping on with one's dreams! And look how his name lives on. Thanks! I have watched Macy's parade for decades; part of Thanksgiving festivities with much enjoyment. But adding here of many the year-to-year disappointments. I do not enjoy the MANY stops of parade watching someone or group to perform. Yes, they are enjoyable & I do appreciate their talents & little productions, no matter the weather. I know these are promoting current plays persons/groups, but I find there are too many & distracts from the talents & excitement of the parade itself. Perhaps this is just me. I will appreciate it more now, Brad, knowing the history behind its beginnings. Thank you once again!😊
