I have always loved 7 Star Mantis! Great tradition and very cool techniques. I used to have Sifu Al Cheng's instructional videos. I wish GM Lee Kam Wing many more years of life! Kudos to Sifu Ortiz!

The only ones who say certain styles don't work are the BJJ or grapplers and MMA buttheads. Back in the day, we didn't train to fight guys like Hulk Hogan or King Kong Bundy because they were the MMA guys until like 25 years ago when it came out as a show like if people needed to be told that but yes, the world has its morons.

The applications make sense when you skilfully control the opponents bridges. Why do Kung fu people put on gloves like western boxers and spar when this can hamper this skill of trapping.

Is there a difference between your form of praying mantis kung fu and other seven star kung fu. I am looking for books and any other information. There are no schools in my area.

I think Shifu Ortiz is a Great Martial Artist. You could see it in his technique and the fluidity. Its incredible to watch, I only wish I was close by him so I too could train. AWESOME. ..

Beautiful Seven Star Sweep!!! When Ortiz Sifu does a form, it's beautiful. When he takes those same techniques and applies them to a person, it looks painful.

Flipn LOVE this!! :) I miss the days of our school in PE, South Africa. I Have had the privilege of training with Sifu Wayne Pinto on multiple occasions and Sigong Derek Frearson once. I need time for this again :(
