Here is my big question. Where are you getting your cards? Are you just buying collections or will you actually buy boxes of new stuff?
@MadTownHobby
@MadTownHobby 16 күн бұрын
Collection buying is the best way to go about it to ensure there should be some margin for you. Buying new product can also work over longer time periods if you find deals and wait for supply to dry up a little before ripping it.

As good as CnC, AoW, and E-Strike are, I actually don't like playing them. They are generics and, well, have no flavor. When I want to play an assassin hero, I don't want to be generic. When I want to play a guardian hero, I don't want to be generic. And so on...
@MadTownHobby

You can see them trying to put more cards that do similar things into each class or talent but people really have a bias towards having that powerful playset that can go in any deck.

I mean, C&C is a great utility card that is also quite versatile. It doesnt enable degenerate turns like AoW did

Very true. It's really good at doing what it does but it's not nearly as flexible as AoW.

I would say my favorite part of about Elestrals is just the transparency between a drive and the community. I really love that he is being honest, receiving our feedback and it really feels like it is community driven. I find that the game is so fun to play and a few of my friends have purchased from you from my recommendation! Currently I want to Build a kurabyss water deck or a frost nexus brumalynx deck. (Side note: thank you for giving me a promo card with my order. I was surprised when I received an extra card with my order).

Like a previous comment I was also big in yugioh and haven't felt that new card game high in years. I like how elestrals is relatively easy to learn but is some how complex and very strategic. Also my large madtown order should be in today! Can't wait to rip! Thanks Keith!

Best thing about Elestrals hands down is just the Community that has been created by aDrive and team! It's such a refreshing breath of fresh air in the TCG world to have a game developer and team that go above and beyond for the community and player base! Elestrals taking the world by storm for sure!!!

Elestrals hits the old school yugioh itch that alot of players miss. was outta the tcg scene for a long time until i caught one of ShadyPenguin's videos where he was talking about aDrive's new tcg and that he was in the first elestriad. Been playing collecting and making some content on Elestrals since then and has a been a very fun experience so far and the community has been great!

There are so many great things to say about Elestrals. From the community, the transparency shown by Dan, aka aDrive, and the team, and how fun the game actually is to open and play. My favorite art right now is the Full Art Lustragon, and my overall favorite thing is how this game can bring a sense of belonging and inclusiveness in the community.

I think my favorite thing about Elestrals is how much fun it is to actually open product. They seem to have gotten down the perfect combination of value and fun. Stellars add such a great wild card to pack openings because at any any time you can pull either a serialized or reverse stellar and I still have not gotten over the excitement of pulling one. The holos are absolutely gorgeous and they just keep getting better and better. The fact that there is a pretty big competitive scene also helps collectors like myself be able to sell some staples or trade for other cards that I am needing in my collection. Its never a dull opening and I think that is why I am absolutely excited

Wisconsin support! I would love to see the biggest and most awesome binders out there, and also the most affordable sorting/ organizing supplies if possible. I'm southeast of you. I've studied business most of my adult life and have been an entrepreneur since I can remember. I have made MANY mistakes, and learned a ton from said mistakes. I have fallen into the games by accident, but I'm learning quickly. I wish you the best of luck in your journey and hope to stop in when I visit my family up your way. 💫

Eh I disagree with the keeping cards high. I’ve had cards just 1 penny higher.. like a 2 cent card I had at 3 or 4 cents it just never sells and there will be 30+ cards at one cent for a common card that will never sell. I just list all and hope I can get more 1-4 card sales for a penny than 20+ card bulk buys
@MadTownHobby
@MadTownHobby 2 ай бұрын
You can for sure play around with the numbers to adjust the "flow" of sales volume. I always recommend starting high while you get the system and process in place. So many beginners get discouraged by those large bulk orders coming in before they are ready to handle them.
@PMTCards
@PMTCards 2 ай бұрын
@@MadTownHobby right but that’s why TCG player has the level system. I think you can only list up to 100 cards as a level 1 seller to begin with. And if your goal is to be able to list a decent amount of product, then the opposite strategy is actually smarter, list lowest possible to get the amount of sales you need to unlock level 4 seller. Where your strategy of list a ton at once and people will buy from you just to combine purchases only really works when you have cards that can actually sell for a higher price that will then attract people to browse your bulk. But outside of large personal collections, somewhat expensive lot purchases, etc..the average person trying to subsidize the hobby or just starting with small investment will not have multiple couple dollar or more cards. 75% of the “hits” in a set these days barely sell for more than a penny, let alone 25 cents or even a dollar.. if you’re not coming up on the first 1-3 pages of near mint lowest price (especially without decent feedback, etc), nobody is going to look at your stuff. And if your strategy is to post everything at 25 cents or higher cause they will sell, that only works if you have a good number of your cards that are actually worth that amount while Still being the cheapest prices. If I’m trying to finish off the last 15 reverse holos I need for my set, I’m not looking at your card when it’s on page 15 of 17. You might get super lucky if I have to use 5 different sellers for those 15 cards and you have enough of them to make it cheaper than the penny plus shipping.. cause I’m still paying $3.75 for the 15 cards, plus the shipping.

I started selling in 2019 before the pandemic hit. I went through everything you mentioned but didn't think about looking around for advice 😅. During the pandemic, I doubled down and bought all my supplies in bulk. Thousands of top loaders at 55 cents a piece before the shortage happened, and prices jumped. For the orders with multiple 15-cent cards, I would put them all in a team bag with 1 top loader to reinforce the pack. Mail them in a yellow clasp envelope with a stamp from pitney bowes that only charged the weight. Print their address and rubber stamp mine. I kept my bulk cards in a box by set and non bulk in folders by set. Good memories, and I'm diving back in, but I wanted to see if things changed first. They haven't. Thank you for this video and your knowledge.
