After watching this a hundred times, Ally’s father acted like a gentleman in this scene. He could’ve easily gone into protective mode but he was calm, collected, and respected Ally’s decision making. I think it went without saying that he liked Noah and knew he truly loved Ally, but Ally’s mother made him have second thoughts.

I am seriously worried by all the people in the comments saying they want a romance like this. I hate to rain on everyone's parade, and I love a good romance as much as anyone else, but this is NOT a healthy relationship. You should NOT marry someone you rarely agree with, and fight with all the time, because of physical passion. In real life, that's not the key to wedded bliss; that's the key to divorce when the raw attraction fades away. A lasting partnership is about more than steamy makeout sessions.
