हम पहले Dimasa थे । जब ब्रिटिश ईस्ट इंडिया कंपनी ने असम में आया था तब एक Rule से अलग बनाया था "Divide And Rule" Act. और 1826 में हमारे एक राजा मोर गई थे जिसका नाम गोविन्द चंन्द्र यानी उसका पुराना नाम राजा इरागदाव था । उसके बाद हम लोगों को British बी. एस, हाटसन इं 1846 में हमको BODO Award (बोडो पुरस्कार) यानी Dimasa से अलग क्या और रेभाः सिदनी एन्देल (Rev. Sidney Endle) अपने किताब में लिखा 'An Outline Grammar Of Kachari Language' (Bara Or Bodo) इं 1884 में Published क्या था।
