My 80 years old brother was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma in the pancreas in April 2023. I am a not practitioner MD and when I saw this professor's explaining the metabolic approach of cancer, it made perfectly sense to me. I suggested my brother NOT to take radio nor chemotherapy and follow professor Seyfriedt instructions + turmeric + berberine. In August 2023 he took a new PET and the cancer was gone. His doctor couldn't believe the result of the control PET and ordered to review the biopsy from April believing there was a mistake in the biopsy report and that it has not been a Ca, but a pancreatitis. The review of the biopsy confirmed it was an adenocarcinoma. Many many thanks Dr. Seyfried 🙏

Incredible. I'm a doctor but Ive studied many other approaches. Unfortunately the Western medical system think they have the monopoly of how to treat. The internet is making people more aware of the truth. Knowledge is power. The elaborate cancer treatments - radiotherapy is a cost of $50 billion a year. to the pharma industry, If any doctor suggests a novel approach that works, they will come down hard on them. Important therefore that people educate themelwes.

Wonderful talk. Clinical trials aren't real science, science is experimental. You only need a large trial when there are side effect issues or the effect being measured is absolutely tiny. Keto and fasting can help prevent you from getting to this stage in the first place and that should be the biggest goal not looking at how to deal with stage 4 cancer. Some of the many benefits of doing occasional extended fasting: Blood clotting is reduced and blood clots and arterial plaque are reabsorbed into the body. Blood pressure is quickly and dramatically lowered. Fribrosis/scarring is reversed over time and telomeres are lengthened, which also helps with lung fibrosis. The hunger hormone ghrelin lowers with extended fasting and rises from dieting. Vitamin D plasma levels are increased, and vitamin D in turn increases autophagy! Fasts from 36-96 h actually INCREASE metabolic rate due to norepinephrine release! Reflexes and short term memory are increased. Thymus is regenerated, which suppresses aging and renews the immune system. Fasting increases nitric oxide. Fasting stimulates phagocytosis, the ingestion of bacteria, plaques and viruses by the immune system. After 72 hours or more fasted, your body recycles large numbers of immune bodies and creates new ones, rejuvenating your entire immune system. Losing weight through intermittent fasting shows greater reduction in waist size and increase in insulin sensitivity for the same weight lost and alternate day fasters were shown to lose fat while gaining muscle at the same time over a six month period. When you move out of MTOR your body shuts down the building blocks of the cell which are used to produce organelles and proteins. This means the mechanisms needed by viruses to replicate are by and large unavailable when you are in a deeply fasted state. What breaks a fast? Anything with protein or carbohydrates in it will break a fast, though if the amount is tiny you will go back into ketosis very quickly. Most teas and herbs are OK. Most supplements and meds will either break ketosis directly or contain a filler that will. Many medications are dangerous to take while fasting so you may have to talk to your dr. about discontinuing them during a fast. Fasts of several days will not affect short term female fertility and may increase long term fertility, especially in women with PCOS. Does fasting lower testosterone? No, it raises it when the fast is broken by increasing lutenizing hormone and helps build muscle by increasing insulin sensitivity! The hormone Leptin is an immunomodulator that keeps the body from attacking itself and obesity causes leptin resistance. Fasting very quickly reduces leptin resistance and leptin levels and one day of fasting can cut your leptin levels in half and gets your immune system working properly again! Does the body preferentially prefer glucose as a fuel? No, your body always runs mainly on fat except for brief periods of very intense exercise. Your brain also prefers to burn ketones at a rate of around 2.5 to 1 when they are available in equal quantity to glucose. Fasting stimulates the AMPK complex and activates autophagy. Autophagy (literally self eating) will cause cells to recycle foreign matter such as viruses and kill cancerous and senescent cells. AMPK does many helpful things in the body including activating the body's antioxidant defenses. Deep ketosis virtually eliminates chronic inflammation in the body. This can offset the life threatening symptoms of viral pneumonia which effectively kills you through inflammation. This also creates BHB ketones in your body, which also help your immune system and anti-oxidative system, especially in the brain. Ketones also provide an additional energy source during infection, which is critical when trying to fight off a bug. In fact you can have as much as three times the total energy available in your blood when you are in deep ketosis, or even more. It increases mitochondrial function and repairs mitichondrial DNA, leading to improved ATP production and oxygen efficiency and thereby making cells better able to fight off infection. Increased mitochondrial function also has the added benefit of increasing your metabolism and cancer prevention! When you fast, this stimulates apoptosis in senescent or genetically damaged cells. This kills these cells off completely. Senescent cells are responsible for the effects of aging and are the root cause of the development of cancer. If it were possible to destroy them all it would completely stop aging and cancer. That is not possible but fasting can help limit these effects by killing off many of the affected cells and limiting the future effects of aging. Fasting also releases BDNF and NGF in the blood which stimulates new nerve and brain cell growth, helping a great deal with diseases like MS, peripheral neuropathy and Alzheimers. In fact, the biochemical regulator of BDNF production is beta-hydroxybutyrate, which is the same ketone the body produces to nourish the brain while fasting. Fasting also increases telomere length, negating some of the effects of aging at a cellular level. A fasting mimicking diet for 3-5 days in a row also provides many of the same benefits as water fasting. FMD usually has 200-800 calories, under 18 g of protein and under 18 g of carb. Exogenous ketones can aid with fasting, making it easier in healthy people and allowing some people with specific issues to fast in spite of them without worrying as much about hypoglycemia. Children, pregnant or nursing women should not fast for periods longer than 16 hours. People with pancreatic tumors or certain forms of hypoglycemia generally cannot fast at all. Type 1 diabetics can also fast but it is more complicated and should be approached with caution as it could lead to ketoacidosis. Those with Addison's disease may also be unable to fast without liberal use of exogenous ketones, depending on severity. If you experience extreme symptoms of some kind, especially dizziness then simply break the fast and seek advice. Just the dogmatic attitude that cancer is a genetic disease should raise eyebrows that something is wrong with the industry. Science is not a belief and therefore the industry should be open to all possibilities. Dogmas are the same as religion, don't question it...just obey.

I know I can control glucose consumed. How to control/refuse glutamine? Thank You for any advice.
@QANGOR4 жыл бұрын
You avoid Glutamine consumption By doing either doing FAT FASTING (eating only fats: oil, butter, lard, ghee, with coffee and tea and water or intermittent fasting (12 to 16hrs daily at least 5 days a week) or prolong fasting (3 to 5 days). Or EXTENDED FASTING (over 7 days. Guiness world record 483 days. It can be done as long as you can still pinch fat in your body and then start eating broth & easy things & resume eating small portions. Calorie restriction is NOT as effective as any of these types types of fasting. All those fastings above mentioned are Water Fasting. Dry Fasting without water are for highly experienced people like me and still i can NOT do a HOLY FASTING which is the worst of all like Moses and Jesus did.

There's one thing I don't understand: Seyfried states that cancer is a mitochondrial metabolic disease and that you can fight tumors successfully by eliminating or restricting glucose and glutamine from the diet. However, a ketogenic diet is far from glutamine-free, as plenty of glutamine can be found in eggs, beef, chicken, fish and healthy vegetables such as cabbage, parsley and carrot - all staple keto foods.

There are 2 types of ketogenic diet: the one with meat as you mentioned BUT there is another one (NOT VERY POPULAR because is HARSH) similar to the eskimos used during scarcity: FAT FASTING = it consist of FAT ONLY with water. Eskimos, Chukchis, etc. use whale blobber and water to survive until things get better. You could eat butter, bacon fat, lard, olive oul or any of yoyr choice coffee tea water etc. Or you can do water fasting of any type: intermittent or prolong or extended. Dry fasting is the harshest of all.

Think u have to read up more to understand.. glutamine is an essential amino acid...I think if u eat a decent ketogenic diet it definitely will save you....if u have cancer then u will go very strict and have the non toxic drugs...to fight the disease...chemo kills the immune system. How can I survive it?
