Who ends up hugging Crono if neither Marle or Lucca is in the party?

I think you can make a comparison to the Reptites with the story of Skyrim. How you can relate to either side of the Stormcloak/Imperial conflict. While the Skyrim civil war is more ideological, the Reptites fight for survival against the humans is more primal. The parallels are there, different but with a similar visceral contemplation.

No disrespect, I've always loved hearing different ways to hear words, but I've never heard someone say melCHier. I've always pronounced it Mel-key-or.

Liam, I’m a longtime fan of your Ratchet and Clank videos. There were quite a few times in here where you mentioned “XYZ doesn’t even need to be covered” or “of course you all know who that is” where I feel like me and a sizable portion of non-JRPG people definitely DID need those points to at least receive a cursory explanation.

You need to do a video on Epic Mickey: Rebrushed! There are some things still present that are problems, like morality, but there's also a lot of improvements, and the visuals are so amazing! Also, you did kind of get your wish with being able to watch cartoons from the reels, but it's only 2 ones and then the end credits. But one of the 2 is an Oswald short!

Older games factors resource management and battle engagement as part of it. You can level up to at least level 3 before you get to the first castle; put in a little time to get to 4 or 5, the first castle will bump you higher. Grindy, yes, but you start the game ferociously underleveled. I still like it despite all its difficulties and flaws.

I heard about this game on a Earthbound podcast where it was briefly mentioned as a great game, I bought a copy and played it through without ever looking up any plot, you could call it a blind run. It was one of the greatest gaming experiences I’ve ever had, even my non gaming wife was captivated by the characters and storytelling. Thanks for the amazing video Liam

Thank you, this video got me teary-eyed. Chrono Trigger is my favorite game of all time, I discovered it more than 20 years ago and I still think about it regularly. It truly was a dream team that made this game and it shows. The story arc of Frog, the story arc of Magus, and of both of them, is so well thought out. Some moments are iconic, like the trial which got me by total surprise. I remember the first time I used a double-tech (X Strike) and the impression it left on me. The score is beautiful and Corridors of Time is one of the musics I listen while working long hours. This soundtrack made me learn guitar so I could play them.

"I know this is gonna make me sound like a vampire," it's okay, dude. We like those ^-^ On a more serious note, that intro gave me a somewhat similar revelation. I've been struggling to make my own stuff. As someone who's done mostly fanart the past few years, nowadays I find myself wanting to tap into my imagination to create original works, at least see what fascinating things are in store. From one artist to another, I can see where you're coming from there. I haven't played Chrono Trigger... yet. It has been sitting in my Steam library for a while. Haven't gotten the chance to play it, but hopefully one day soon, because seeing so many people talk about it gets me looking forward to it!

Speaking of the Soundtrack, one track that got unfortunately cut from the Base game is this little song called "Singing Mountain". Its a melancholic, but also beautiful piano piece with this wind ambience permeating this feeling of isolation. It is legit one of the most emotional pieces in the whole game and was supposed to be used in a Prehistoric area before the Tyranno Lair part of the story. They ended up cutting the area since they couldn't fit the area in a meaningful way without it being filler (which kinda shows how commited the team was in making the game as consistently paced as it can be), but the track sadly went along with it. Which is unfortunate, because Singing Mountain would've been a beautiful fit for Death Peak. Just this feeling of hope permeating through the track as you push further and further onto this ruined mountain for the goal of bringing Crono back to life.

I just completed mario Sunshine 100% a few months ago for the first time, and i had a blast. This might surprise some of you, but i had an easy time with the pachinko machine level and the watermelon festival. The blue coins were fun to collect, and after looking up a few online I wondered why I didn't look there in the first place. The Boss fights are fun even though they repeat. Eely-mouth was surprisingly easy for me, and i love how Gooper Blooper's fight works. I think phantamanta is my favorite boss fight. I like how Yoshi is in the game and you can eat birds, butterflies, and bees. Also i have a theory (not really a theory just a random thought) that the book in the bottle is the paper mario book/universe. This is one of my childhood games, and i love it when i get to see someone who appreciates it as much as I do. Thanks for making this video.

It's so pleasing to see this game get so much love, decades after it's release. I still remember sneaking into my brothers room to play Chrono Trigger as a kid. It's art-style, combat system, story, soundtrack, etc. It's all 10/10. There's never been another game quite like it, and I sincerely hope that Square can remaster / remake this and do this series justice. As long as they keep whatever's been going on with the recent KH and FF games away from it, and don't deviate too far from the source, I'm sure it could be awesome.

It can be tempting to look for THE BIG THING we give to the world. Especially when we deeply relate to stories of heroes doing just that. But I think the way it's been for almost every human there has ever been, was that we gave little things to the people in our lives every day, all blending together in a mosaic. With every single view on your videos, with every single like, every time your words remembered, and every time you and a viewer shared an experience together, you gave something to them. Every like and view and memory of them is a gift you gave to the world. Thank you. :)

The original show is just it. Nothing can be remade from that story, even if the "Owners" try to change everything on the next reboot or remake or whatever. I just think the original have hope, honesty and flaws that make it just right to watch many times. You just know the people who made it were there to make something unique in true sincerity and were focused on a story with meanings. Not just yet another cash grab.

I'll defend the Blue Coin on the Moon. There's NPCs in the game that you can talk to. It's your own fault if you don't talk to them. Also, if you learned about the sun Shine, it only makes sense that there'd be something in the same spot, the moon, at night.

I know this video is a year old, but the purpose of Interloper's length, is they didn't want to do what Half Life 2 did. Most areas in HL2 you can see the towering building that is the Citadel. Throughout the game you know your goal is to reach that building, and to scale it. When you get there, you do some stuff and ride a thing halfway up, you do some more stuff and ride a thing to the top. You were never able to see the top of the Citadel it was so tall, yet how long did it take to get up, 25 minutes? In Black Mesa Xen, the towering structure actually took time to climb, and wasn't a cake walk like the Citadel in HL2.
