I was 3 to 4 years old when this came out. And wow, just the music alone makes me want to tear up. Over 2 decades later and this still holds up. I pick this over the live action Barbie at any day of the week.

This song always had a special place to play in my heart for years - even when I'm gonna do my drawings, my mind always play her. I wish new Barbie movies had so magical songs as they used back to 2000s. I grew with this one, Princess and the Pauper, Swan Lake and all Fairytopia' triology.

In the fairytale story of Rapunzel the witch built a tower with just a window and locked Rapunzel in. everyday when she was alone she would sing out her window dreaming about a new world. one day a handsome prince came riding by when he saw Rapunzel singing he fell in love. he watched as the witch called out to Rapunzel and climb the tower after the witch left the prince came up to call out to Rapunzel at the bottom of the tower just like the witch did “Rapunzel Rapunzel let down your hair!” At first Rapunzel was scared but she could see that the prince was kind and friendly Rapunzel and the prince became friends to escape the tower Rapunzel Knitted a silk ladder so she can be with him but when the witch arrived she saw the silk ladder and became enraged she was so angry that she cut off Rapunzel’s long golden hair and cast a spell that sent her deep into the forest to live the prince arrived at the the tower and climbed to the top but when he saw the witch he pushed the prince and he fell into a thorn bush that scratched his eyes making him blind but when he heard Rapunzel singing he found her they’re back together again Rapunzel cried tears of joy her tears fell onto the prince’s eyes and cured his blindness together Rapunzel and the prince went to the castle and lived happily ever after the end
